Thumbs up Got my overlay kits in from Bat!

Just got my four kits in today. Thanks, Bat! I look forward to installing my 3/10 smoked tails and turn signal overlays soon! Just got done putting on the door barrel overlays, and they look awesome! Will be doing the Gauge pods tomorrow. Now all I need is a digicam...

When you install the tails, do you start with the bottom half or the top half of the light? I started with the top when I did it, and then I could not get the bottoms halfs to line up for the life of me. Ended up completely ruining the overlays because of a crease.

I did the top half first, waited before it started to stick, then started aligning the bottom. It was a pain in the @$$ but I managed it.

Start off from the top using some soap water and heat gun. Once the top starts to set in, use your heat gun to slowly stretch out the overlays to fit around the corner. It took me about 30 minutes on each side and turned out very well with very few bubbles. The key is the heat up the overlays and stretch them out as you go around the corner by using MF towels. At the bottom end of the overlays, you will have some left overs so use a sharp blade to cut off the excess. It looks great on my CS.

Also, if it's already too late and you still got bubbles in your tint, no need to worry. Just leave your car out in the sun for a few days and most of the bubbles should be gone by then.

As for pics, I'll try and get a hold of my sister's digicam... so hopefully soon... (taps feet)

Oh yeah, The smoked/red material for your turn signal overlays is EXTREMELY easy to work with... nice stuff. The taillight smoked material is also very durable and nice material. Great work, Bat... look forward to seeing new overlay goodies
