Default How long did it take to get your kits put on?

I dropped my Z off last monday (8/23)...called them yesterday (9/1) and they said all parts are getting ready for final install and then painted so it should be ready by next week. So a little over 2 weeks to prep, fit, install and paint.

How long it take for you guys?

Took me about 8 hrs personally to install my veilside after it was painted. Prob a little longer than normal, but i had to make trips to lowes and get tapes/screws and spent a long time w/ the heat gun making the urethane fit snug.

Mine took 1 month because they was taking their luvly A$$ time! Should only take 1 1/2 -2 weeks to get everything done "RIGHT". They longer they take, the more chances you are risking your car get overspray from another car they are working on or scratches from them not being careful. How I know? Well I visit the shop a couple of times and one day I came by and they was working on a car right NEXT to mine but they put the plastic over my car. I told them " I hope I dont find overspray on my car when I get it back!" They said "No nothing will get on it, dont worry" Well what do you know, when I got the car back and did the first wash, found overspray on my hood , left fender, left headlight. My guess is that the wind blew the plastic cover up along with the mist of clear Sheit they was spraying(dunno what kind of clear). took off the overspray by claying it but couldn't take it off the headlight. Now I'm hoping Bat's Headlight overlays will do the trick.

5 days for mine....test fitting, prepping, adjusting, painting, and color sanding.

It's important to check the body shop's workload. It should take more than a few days, but if they are really backed up, it could take much longer.

My poor car is STILL in the shop from the accident. It will be 9 weeks total.

It took my car about a month. But I wasn't in a rush. I wanted them to do the best they can. But it turned out great. The bodyshop I went with trimed the front of the replica esprit kit well and paint was close.

Damn people, it took me :

4 hours to test fit my kit.
2 days to get painted, because they were busy. should only take 1 day and 1 day to dry.

4 hours to install.

so basically, after recieving a basic kit, it should only take about 3 days total to get it on the car.

damn guys, lay the smack down on these shops man, they putting your stuff on the backburners.

1 month, 2 months, that's horsesh**

It took the shop a little more than a week to test fit, prep, paint and install. They could have done the whole thing in a week but they had more cars than usual before mine. I would rather have them do it right than get a slap it on rush job.
