Question Question regarding removal of amber headlight strip

I will be replacing my amber headlight strip with a clear one. Is it glued into place, or does it pop out after taking headlight apart?

Thanks.

I don't have them yet. I'm in the process of getting them though.

Yeah, all it is is held into place with makeshift tabs. Once you have the headlights opened up, it's cake. Be VERY careful with the HID bulb, be sure not to get any fingerprints on it.

its not just fingerprints; if you do touch it; cant just wipe the prints off; any oil on the bulb will overheat it and itll blow. if you plan on coming anywhere near the bulb, put on some gloves. or put your hand in a plastic baggy.

Keith,

I have a buddy that does it for the evo8. He's willing to do it for the Z. I met up with him and showed him the headlight. I feel confident that he'll do a good job. He's done lots already for the evo8. I'll keep you guys posted .

you can mail your lights to MrZipps and he can do them for you also. That is what Bat ended up doing. PM him, he is a member of the forum.
