Default nismo shift **** question

can anybody tell me if the nismo gt titanium shift **** has plastic threading inside or is it metal. cuz i read someone on this forum had a non-gt one and stripped the inside which was plastic. i like spirited driving and i don't want to spend like $140 on a piece that's gonna end up in the trash.

Not positive, but I think it's plastic also. That's because it's not really threaded, but it's soft enough for you to put it on the shift rod, and the rod will act like a tap, and thread it. It's pretty sturdy though. I have the leaher **** (I like leather) and removed it once to put on the Home Depot Toilet Washer Finisher, and it's as tight as the day I bought it. Can't post pics anymore.

my nismo TI (non-GT) shift **** threading is plastic. and it's STRIPPED! (with the rogue engineering short shifter)

after discovering this, i tried to put it on the stock shifter and it fit fine!

but to keep it on the RE short shifter i took out the spacer btwn the shifter and **** and tightened that sucker back on. and i think i created new threads. it's on TIGHT now!

if you need more coherent sentences or want to know more, pm me.
