Default OEM rear wing spoiler

Where could I get a quality
rear wing spoiler?
I want a company that sells
'PAINTED' wings that matches good
with my car.
Decent price with quality spoiler.
Please help~

yeah buy a Used from from the forums.

I got one for like 115 shipped lol. Stock Daytona Blue just like my car.

You may want to buy the template on ebay, so you can drill it yourself and save money .

I think there's one for sale.

If I want to have the stock spoiler professionally installed what do you guys reccommend. The dealer wants like 300 bucks for install and I am not too car savy. I don't want to be drilling holes in the wrong places or anything. Does anyone know any good shops in so cali maybe?

Bring the spoiler with you and ask another dealer.

I got mine installed at the dealer for $85.

They called in their spoiler company that does work for them and they put it on for me.

Try this:

Current bid is at $50; reserve is at $75. Buy it now for $150.

Don't even drill holes through your trunk.

Cut down the bolts in the OEM spoiler and 3M automotive quality tape along the edges then install it yourself. The way the spoiler sits on the car it is SEALED!

No drilling...

no pay for installation

If the spoiler falls off I'll buy you a new one.

^

what he said

I installed mine using double sided tape... the strength of this tape is amazing... as an experiment, I attached small piece of plastic to the underside of my car (can't be seen unless you have the car jacked up)... anyway, after the tape "set" and i allowed it to "cure" for a few hours, the plastic was nearly *impossible* to remove... you'd swear it was bolted on

in the end i had to heat up the tape with a blow dryer and I took an exacto knife to cut the foam away from the car (fortunately the adhesive rolls off the car with a little soapy water without harming the paint)

Could the above be the reason that nissan instructs to drill through the trunk and bolt the rear spoiler in place in addition to using adheshive tape? I would prefer not to drill holes, but would soapy water from car washing over time cause doulbe sided 3M adhesive to weaken?????

umm... no

i used a blow dryer to heat it up for about 30 minutes too, in addition to saturating the tape with soapy water

Does anyone know if the template of the spoilers of the oem spoiler and the one from spoilerdepot.com matches? In other words, are there more holes to be drilled for either spoiler?

Are you guys not listening??? If you don't already have the OEM spoiler, DO NOT RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD TRUNK by drilling holes in it to mount an OEM spoiler. I put my CF OEM style spoiler on with 3m double sided tape all the way around and there is NO WAY IT IS COMING OFF.

For real!!!

I will buy you a new spoiler if it comes off.
Who gives a crap if Nissan drilled holes on them at the factory.

With the right kind of automotive 3m, I swear my trunk will fall off before that spoiler does.

Did you guys just use water/rubbing alchohol on the trunk or did you go with some special automotive cleaner? Thanks.
