Default Clear Prismatic strip in headlight

Where can I get them?? If someone starts to make these they will become rich...can't tell you how many people are looking for these all over different boards. I also want to throw led strips under them.

Yeah ive been looking everywhere for them too. I was following up with ares apprx every 2 weeks to see if he heard any new news from his guy that was making them, but I eventually figured it was a lost cause because the guy was so backordered that I gave up for a while. I heard MrZipps is trying to make these now... Dont know how much progress he has made...

I know what you mean! I'm supposed to get my headlights cleared in a couple weeks and would have liked to get one to replace the amber strip but looks like I'll have to go without one. I contacted clear corners and they don't sell those parts.

Holy bat crap! Their light "conversions" are EXPENSIVE!!!

They charge $345 EACH to replace the maplights with blue and white LEDs... $700 for a pair of maplights?!?! And people said my maplight conversions were expensive Not only are mine about 1/10th the price, but you're not stuck with just blue and white.

If people are paying those prices, I can't exactly call them crooks... gotte give 'em credit... but DAMN!

And the sad thing is that people actually are willing to pay those ridiculous prices!!! Nice to have money to throw away...

If you have ever seen the clearcorners.com lights in person, you might change your mind. Uniqueness comes with a price tag.

the warrent their price because of their price. Im sure those that purchase them are willing to pay so much because they can and they are so rare as a result of their price. its certainly a huge markup; there is very little cost. but its same as a ferrari or something, use price to insinuate quality.

it is quality but if he charged 300$, some might question it. is he doing anything different than mr zipps? besides the LED stuff, no I dont think so... but most people think he does a better job of opening and sealing the housing anyway. am I wrong?

I'm not questioning the qork involved in the headlight housings... I know those can be a pain. I'm strictly talking about the maplights and trunk lights... those prices are outrageous!

it has nothing to do with the work involved. its the same reason people buy armani instead of walmart, abercrombie instead of old navy. ferrari instead of ford.

there is a difference in quality, but probably not equal to the difference in price. but none the less; they sell because they have status.

This is no merit in this statement. There is a great enough technical difference between a Ferrari and a Ford for a consumer to be willing to pay extra (no name brands). There is definitely not enough of a technical difference between this seller's LEDs and say your's. The price difference is not justified by saying "name brand" or "status symbol."

I wasnt indicating his or mine; I know nothing about his LED work, never seen one in person. I was speaking on a strictly economic level. there is a difference between ford and ferrari, but is the parts in a ferrari worth the 10-30x the price? no, thats a fact, it simply isnt; both are roughly equal amounts of metal. the ferrari happens to be tuned for more power; but again; you could make a focus outperform an enzo for far less. but ferrari still sells;

perhaps a better example, ford GT vs ferrari 360 vs viper. is the ferrari worth the price? but they sell anyway, they have a different status because of their price.

You guys are KILLING me with this!!! I think everyone has a point with their argument. Personal preference... I'm not one to own something just for the name but I understand that whole deal as I do live in Tinsletown. Dangit Ares, I don't supposed you have some strips laying around.. maybe there's some that fell behind the couch or something?!

Someone needs to fab these up...wouldn't it be easy as taking the striip out of the headlight and sending the strip to a lighting company or a company who makes prismatic material?? Tell them you want a mirror image, width , thickness etc... in clear??

The G35c comes with a clear strip in the headlight stock. The strip in the g35c is thicker and longer than the one in the Z. I was thinking that someone could fab a strip for the Z headlight simply by sanding down the strip from the g35c headlight to meet the dimensions of the Z strip.

This is a pretty good idea. I don't know if Infiniti has a part number for just the internal reflector. As far as I know, Nissan only sells an entire headlight housing and not just the reflector.

yeah; gotta buy the whole housing; and thats a bit cost prohibitive not to mention it probably wouldnt work as easy as youd hope.

I checked with a bunch of places. a few said they couldnt do it; and of those that did they wanted like 1000 for the mold and 200$ per set. this guy was willing to do it for much less. this seemed like a good call, except for him being slow as hell.
