The license plate reads "Basani" and I think they make body kits and whatnot. Worth a Google search.

To my knowledge, the only Bassani out there is that which makes exhaust components/systems.

I found out that the spoiler is a INGS+1, but the price is absolutely ridiculous! $800 for a trunk spoiler?

I paid $870 for my Impul 933S spoiler. Gorgeous though, and as of right now, I haven't seen anyone else w/ it on the Z. The Veilside V.1 Carbon wing is about 800 too, and many people have that.

Maybe you're thinking of Balsarini?

I'm new, so forgive me for not being familiar with your spoiler. However, unless this is a high-quality carbon fiber spoiler, the pricing on it is ridiculous! I used to sell BMW/Mercedes parts, and I have yet to see a simple spoiler such as this sell for more than half. Afterall, once the mold is produced, it only costs about $75 to make. Is the $800 range the correct price for an Ings+1 spoiler? Any recommendations on where I can get a better price?

Well, also, the thing with buying from big name companies like Impul, Veilside, Ings, etc. is that they can jack up the price because people will pay that amount for the name. You may be able to find an imitation Ings wing that is exactly the same style made out of FRP for half the price.

perfect example-- Look at the Veilside Millenium S2000 body kit, and its price.
then look at the Sarona designs S2000 body kit, and its price.

Same kit, about $1000 difference. Its all in the name.

I used to complain about how absurd $500 was for a Mercedes Lorinser wing!

What do you think about the Data Systems spoiler? Similiar idea, somewhat smaller, under $400.

If you look around you may be able to find a company that makes a replica Ings+1 wing that is an exact copy of it but isnt made by Ings and it will be 400 instead of 800.

When I was first going to order my wing (i was looking at Veilside V.1 FRP) I went to my guy at Eastcoast Autosport and told him I wanted Veilside V.1 wing. He goes "authentic or imitation?" I told him get me prices on both. He told me authentic- 750 shipped, imitation, 420 shipped, and they were exactly the same wing. Im sure that there are specialty manufacturers that make their money just by making replicas of the kits/wings of bigger names like Veilside like this case, and I know Ings is one of them. Mach430--I recognize you from the CLK forums. I used to frequent there, but ended up with a 350z instead. Your car was a true beast! Did you end up getting a z ?

Great to see a familiar face! What was your screen name on MBWorld?

I've been parting out my CLK (http://www.europeancarweb.com/tuned/...clk/index.html) and will be trading it in to the dealer this week to pay off my new G35. I love my new G, and have rarely looked back towards my CLK.

I was "One slick Clk" on the forums. I was leaning towards a CLK55 or 430, but the dealership experience was less than favorable. I hate the judgemental dealers, and like you never looked back. I think you'll be just as happy here--plenty of mods you can do so I'm sure you can make another beast--FI should put you in the high 12's/Low 13's.

Don't worry too much about the costs and such, as you'll see, some replicas fit even better than their original counterparts.

What color G did you get? Any plans? Seemed like a lot of people on MBWorld just dissapeared (or at least the big names).
Will evosport start carrying G/Z parts?
Best of luck, let me know if you need anything.

I got a black/black 6MT. Currently, I have a Stillen intake and exhaust. I bought their spoiler but returned it and gave them a nice chargeback for their customer service after it did not fit and was horrible quality urethane.

I doubt evosport will carry G/Z parts. I left the company, so I no longer have any influence on what they carry. I will be developing some, including possibly a complete intake manifold.

Take it easy.

Ben
