Default Need Help GuyZ...Carbon Fiber Seibon TS hood Fitment???

I just received my Seibon TS Hood. It is at the shop and we were putting it on. When we went to close the hood it is hitting my JIC Strut Bar...

Did you guyz cut notches in the hood so that it will fit around the strut bar??? And if you did does that sacrifice the strength of the hood??

If you did not cut the hood then what did you do to make it fit??

Please help I want to finish this and get one more Thanksgiving cruise before I have to put her to bed!!!!

i have the ts hood with my stock stb and it does touch. i just never minded? it left 2 little black marks on the bar, but you can wipe them off with your finger. i have one of the original ts's, before they solved the fitiment issues. when did you buy yours?

I just bought it about 3 weeks ago so it should be a new hood...I heard on this site that the JIC Strut bar was hitting the hood on someone elses car and they cut notches out so it would fit.

I am just seeing if anyone did that or if it is a good idea or not.

I would get a new strut bar. They aren't too expensive.

It is not worth potentially ruining an expensive (and nice looking) hood.
