I installed them dry. I've done the smoked Performance overlays wet, and it is MUCH easier IMO doing it dry. Jason@Performance has a good little write up on installing them floating around. Just make sure you don't touch the adhesive on the back of the overlays with your fingers, becuase the prints will show.
I live in Las Vegas, New Mexico. It's been snowing a lot here for the past few days

Night time pics w/ headlights on! Just excuse the poor quality, still learning how to use my new digicam:

Note that I have a BASE model, with no HID's. My dims with these overlays are literally completely useless. You can't see anything at all. The brights on the other hand are pretty bright, but so far I havn't gotten any complaints from running around with them on, judging by the fact that I've passed by a couple of the local police cars with them on.

To be totally honest, I don't get it. I love the way the HID's look coming from a Redline and just flat out don't like the yellow look. Apparently I am odd man out so maybe it is something that will grow on me.
Thanks for the honest reply. It's actually not the first time I've gotten negative remarks about them, more like 60% good and 40% negative. I'm thinking gold volk sf challenges will help compliment the overlays extremely well...

Thanks guys. Looking at my own pics, I'm thinking the overlays look incomplete. Silver rims, silver door handles... hmmm. The overlays will probably look 10x better than they already do if I get some gold volks and get my doorhandles painted gold somehow. What do you all think of that idea?
