I was wondering if people with the non bose system has thought of putting another storage compartment door on the other side. I thought this would be a great idea for like dvds and stuff. I have taken off my panel and it looks like a good spot. Any ideas?

 

I've always wondered Nissan's reasoning for not having two storage compartments to begin with. I think there was a thread on this a while back. I'm sure someone has done it.

 

I changed out my Sub and put in another Compartment bought from Nissan now I have 2 compartments that look alike , you can buy the door and fittings took a little time but it worked

I think there are people out there that would rather have the extra compartment than the BOSE. Giving people on the fence a reason to get the lower model instead of coughing cash up to get the higher model.

 

I have the parts, but haven't installed them yet. If you want to buy the parts i recommend contacting one of the guys at performance nissan. they will give you the best price on oem nissan parts. i however managed to get all the parts of a member on the forum who removed the stock storage bin to put a subwoofer there.

My guess as to why nissan didn't put a second storage bin there is because they didn't want it to seem that getting more was less, as in getting the sub sacrificed storage, since after all the touring with boss is supposed to be the most well suited for longer trips and what not.
