Default Why the format change in signature block?

I just noticed the format change in everyones signature block...Is it to save space & etc? IMHO....I like the old format better. Maybe the site should make all pics the same size?
Just curious.....

I'll repeat my post here:

Isn't there an option where when someone posts in a thread his sig. is displayed in his FIRST post of the thread but if/when he posts a second (or third or fourth etc) his sig. is NOT displayed in these?

We have this over at Frenzy and I'm sure it'll save you a ton of space and allow pages to load a lot faster.

Dang Bonz your car has come a long, long, way!
(Looking at your sig.)

Good Job!

OK back on topic. I think people can choose in their personal options to show sigs or not can't they?

To my350Z venders and suppliers:

Since this site has restricted signatures, it is my opinion that your businesses will suffer. When members like me can visually see what other site members have done to their vehicles, it promotes your business.

I realize promises (may) have been made to change this on my350z.com.

Your right " A picture is worth a thousand words " I can tell by looking at one of yours its one of the main reasons they are off.
One of the images in your sig below

With over 9000 people visiting this site a day from walks of life, young and old.
Out of that 9000 + that vist how many do you think will leave due to seing pictures like that that seem to have no positive meanings? Probably more than you think.

Now lets see your whole sig

Your text sais more about your car than what you can see in the image.

The car is cool but its still takes up a whole lot of realestate... Probably would be nice if you had a photogallery or use the car as your avatar instead of all your images at one place.

The second images is a waste of space and degrades the forums IMHO

Lastly
We the huddled masses want you to wake up and realize their must be a better way. Your Z owners will leave by the masses>
What huddled mass are you talking about? This isnt a football team.

BTW,
We didnt say the img tag in the sigs wouldnt come back but until real guidlines are defined and a better way to control them the img tags in sigs are staying off.

Kyle, with VB3 you may be able to shorten the space between the end of the sig. and the line below it (blank space).

lol,

Where is that "oWned" pic at this point?

I agree some of the signatures due get a bit out of hand.

I am on this GTO Forum that sets a seperate space aside for pic storage and you get a button bar (hyperlink) under your name on the left column over there <<---- in that box that says," My Photos". I like it because you can upload pics and then they have to be approved by a moderator. Once approved people have the choice of whether they want to look at your pics or not.

There is allot of control over it to, like say if I upload a shot of my rim the mod will move it to the "Wheel" section of photos but it still shows up under "My Photos" and people can comment on it and I can view how many people have viewed my pics and read what they thought of them. Bandwith can get expensive and there are dozens of free sites that will host your pic and you can just link to them as I have done in my sig. Then it is up to the individual to click that link or not, it's not forced on everyone like the lady getting kicked in the head.
