I was wondering who currently owns My350z.com? Also, who has previously owned it? Here's the progression of ownership as I understand it:

JmanZ -> JmanZ + InternetAbyss -> Takao -> ???

Also, is anyone currently or previously a paid employee of My350z.com that's willing to admit it (i.e. not just a moderator that isn't paid)?

Why does anyone think there has been a change in ownership?

 

I think you guys sell Takao short; upgraded the server, seems to have added some new admin guys. I also see him on list of online members in the evening frequently.

And leave my behind out of the discussion!!

 

I agree! How can you say that he doesn't care when the site JUST got a huge update!!!

 

Why not? Not much info one way or the other about ownership and there have been some major changes with the admins/moderators and forum lately.

We have to ask occasionally since Takao doesn't post much.

The changes with admins/moderators from my recollection has to do with Vic having more personal responsbilities. As I understand it, he worked with Kyle to get the new VBulletin up and gave Kyle and another admin the responsibilities that he undertook.

Takaeo does care about the site. He sold his Z a long time ago but he recognizes that a community was established. I don't believe he's making any profit as any funds that come from sponsors are used to maintain the site and any excess go to the admin(s).

So far, the new admins have beening doing a fair job. Importantly, they're listening and responding to our comments. But, the jury is still out on whether they keep forum members best interests at heart. Let's see if they follow-up on our comments and recommendations.

 

takao owns the forum; kyle basicly took over running it with vic; but he handles the technical end; not sure how much of the business end he is involved in. kyle was the one that got the server taken care of; I think it may have even been his personal server that he had laying around or something.

To be fair, it would be impossible for all the members to even agree what their interests are.

I think the owners that you said are right. Jay->Jay+InternetAbyss->Takao. Takao still owns it. AFAIK, the admins are paid. Moderators aren't. Typically, admins are the only one's that are paid on forums. And on adminzone this question was asked, most say why pay one person when another person is willing to do it for free?

 

Takao is the owner.

I take care of the backend, colospace, upgrades etc now..

If anyone has concerns about our intrests. Do me a favor do some research on who I am maybe that will help. I have been active in the ZCar community since 1992.

Just wanted to let you know I don't have any concerns about your interests. I was only wondering who owns the site and what the business hierarchy is. Read all the posts again and you'll see that no one said anything negative about you or ZDriver. However, insinuations of other posters steered the thread to a negative vibe.

BTW, most My350z members probably remember you as the guy with the stock 350z exhaust hoisted over your head.
