Default F**k PayPal!

Dude, I was ready to get premier membership, but you don't have any other options than PayPal.

Is it possible to offer a mailing address? Post it on the "Become a Premier Member" space with money orders as an alternate payment method, and I can mail you off your $30. When you receive and cash it, you make me a premier member.

Ahh... Paypal seems so good now, just wait until you have a bad experience with them. I only use Paypal to send money, I no longer receive money. Paypal offers 1,000,000% buyer protection but 0% seller protection. I've had a couple bad experiences with them when selling items on Ebay. Stop by www.PaypalSucks.com to check out a few of the many horror stories that Paypal has been apart of. IMO they are an extremely convenient service for online purchases but they pull things that a physical establishment (as in an actual store) would never be able to get away with.

use your credit card to pay. If there is problem, call your credit card to dispute. They will help you. DO NOT use your debit card because your bank will not do anything about it if there is any problem.

Thats why I said that Paypal offers 1,000,000% buyer protection. See I have had false chargebacks opened against myself as a seller. I've had a couple of people buy from me and then contact their creditcard company to say they are not satisfied (or that they never even received the product). Their card company in turn takes the money from Paypal who in turn takes the money from me (leaving me with a negative balance). It is then my responsibility to repay Paypal and clear my debt. It is then up to the buyer to send the product back on their own time. This has happened to me twice while selling Nextel phones on Ebay. The buyer gets this ingenious plan on how he can get his money back and still keep the phone. And if I wasnt so persistent their plan might have actually worked. In the end, you the seller, gets screwed.

Happened to me before too. The buyer kept the goods and the money after I was forced to refund the money. The buyer said the item wasn't what they expected and paypal debited my account SIX months after the sale was complete.

im an ebay powerseller, and i dont know how long ago that was, but these days, if paypal does give the buyer a refund, they will only do so after the buyer shows tracking info showing that they have returned the item. also, for chargebacks, as long as you ship to the confirmed address, and do so in 7 day, you are covered by paypal seller protection. ive had about 50 of these cases, and have never lost a single one. by no means do i love paypal or anything, it definately has its flaws, but just wanted to let you guys with the chargebacks know that as long as you follow those two rules, you will be covered.

See, I'd rather just not have to deal with any of that. I've heard mixed things about Paypal in the past, and I have no desire to sign up for a service that I will use only once (my350z.com).

Soooo... money orders?

a family member of mine paid for a laptop (one of those outrageously thin Sonys) and sent $2800. For some unknown reason, Paypal drafted the money out of their bank account (using verified process routing numbers), instead of the CC they specified. Their account showed it was from a CC, but their bank account showed otherwise. Paypal didnt care and wouldnt even respond about the problem. The bank treated it as a cash transaction, so there was no recourse there.

So, they filed fraud charges against paypal. Just so happens they live in NorCal and were able to drive over to the police station near Paypals offices. And like magic, Paypal became attentive. Then, their bank got involved and were able to conclude it was a fraudulent draft. Because of this, the bank covered it. The money never went to the seller, luckily, he was in jail for scamming people and his account was frozen at the time. And yet, Paypal still wouldnt help with Police in NorCal and Florida calling them. It took BankAmerica just saying f'it, this is fraud.

I use Paypal, just very very careful with my routing info and what they have access to.

paypal sucks! I sold an xbox 360 on ebay and paypal limited my account and asked me to provide a bunch of info...I gave it to them and still my account is limited! I have 1700 sitting in my paypal account for over a month now and they don't want to help! They say that my account is somehow linked up with the buyers account and because the buyer has some issue with their account, they need to resolve their issue with their account before I can get my money!!! its freaking ridiculous!!! Their customer service sucks! They don't want to help me at all! The latest thing they told me to do is to contact the buyer! Im ready to take some legal action! Ive been selling stuff on ebay for like 2 years and never had a problem but I can't believe this is even happening!

At the moment we do not have anything else set up.
But other options are being looked at.

On another note personally, I have had both good and bad experiences from paypal. The bad has been more or less from the sellers rather than paypal itself.
