Default Where did my thread go?

Where did the "getting rid of this dumb Z" thread go? I was asked to post pics of my ex-girlfriend - I have some good shots to post for the guy that asked. We were going to do a lingerie shoot with her on the hood, but never got around to it. I don't want to continue that thread, just post to certain peeps

Not true. There's nothing secret or sinister going on. Unless you are the offending poster, you won't get a warning about TOU violations. The OP does not get a notice if his thread is removed as a result of the actions of others.

What is a TOU violation? Was the thread moved because of improper language? Did I do something wrong? I was locked out of the thread and it was moved to an unknown location.

I'm not the mod/admin that locked or moved the thread so I can't tell you what the problem was or who the violator was. Since you didn't get a PM, it probably wasn't you.

TOU = Terms Of Use. It's the rules you were supposed to review when you signed up on the board:

So if anyone on the thread violates the policy, the thread gets moved and the original poster gets locked out of it, without notification of where it is moved to? How does that help anyone involved or do anything whatsoever? Shouldn't there be a note specifying where it was moved to? If it was off topic and had to be moved for a good reason, you'd think there would be some kind of notification. Pretty crappy situation. There were a few people that I wanted to respond to privately to thank them for kind words and answer their questions through PM, but I guess I can't.

Not exactly. If one or two posts are out of hand in a large thread, then those posts will be deleted and the thread will be left intact. If the whole thread is inappropriate or it gets to the point where cleanup is impossible or infeasible, then the thread gets deleted/moved.

On more than one occasion I have PMed the OP to let them know that their thread had to be removed but that is one a case-by-case basis.
