Exactly what we have done...The sad truth is the majority of the dirty sales started when alot of former Subaru shops moved to this forum.Shops like mine have been here from the start and tested products and were inovative in developing stuff and set new standards..Now along comes an online shop that cares more about sales than their passion for the car or community. This online shop buys a ton of stuff at a time and sells it dirt cheap to meet monthly minimums.Do you think your being steered down the right path as a consumer when a shop or store has a monthly minimum or yearly sales goal to meet for that product they push down your thoat? The sales tactics on the Subaru forums was a virtual ***** house due to the flooded market.. The Z market has been flooded with virtual crap as of late. It is hard to sell a guy a part that actually works and lasts over a half priced ebay China made knock off.People are getting more and more price orientated rather than quality. Other people are so brainwashed by stuff they hear on the forums, that is also makes life frustrating trying to debate anything. Everything winds up a personal attack and off topic. This formum has changed in the past 12 months drastically. I think the influx of alot more used 350Z's on the market, make them more readily available to a younger demographics. The younger demographics tend to believe every bit of crap they read in the Import magazines, who often test those $300 grounding kits and claim 2-3 whp The kids read this crap and then take it as gospel and go out and buy these parts. It is a sad industry, based on how you market your product rather than how your product actually works.. When a kid buys a part online and that part is marketed to be the same exact parts Steve Papadakis runs on his 6 second Honda, with "off the shelf" parts, it is truely decietful..

New screen name Vamos_Rafael. Last I saw he was trying to sell a magazine for $50.00. He said it was signed by Anna Kornikova (sp?). I bet he signed it himself.

This was bound to happen sooner or later. I remember back in late 90's/early 2000 that campus parking lots of the school where I went were swarmed with horribly riced out 3000GT's and 300ZX's... Supras and RX7's escaped almost unscathed though...
Anyway, I see where you were right and I wasn't. Right now for me to swap from a Z to a GTO and do initial mods on the GTO will cost me so much, I may as well stick to the Z. Quite frankly, I am so sick of this topic, I am officially resigning from the modding of anything for now. If I ever get interest in this again, I'll just call you with a budget, give you the car and $$ and pick up the car later. Let it be your headache of which parts to chose.
If the engine blows, it blows, what can we do? That's what the credit cards are for.

You're bringing an argument and not a solution .. Unfortunately that's the way it is on a public forum. And by no ways does it mean that all Z "innovators and scene" leave the forums. ...
Whatever that's supposed to mean.

Julian,

If you gave two ****s less about sales and cared more about passion for the car community you obviouly won't strive to sell your product and get your business runing to its max potential. Priority is selling and making profit. Not the "love" you have for the community. You run a business primarily because you'd like to profit from it (i hope so)

You're whining yet not even marketing your product. Truth is consumers could be educated or not but IMO you could still be successful and instead of whining, use a positive strategy. I don't hear other sponsors *****ing but doing the best they can to sell and thriving. If you can't handle the competition you won't stay on top.

Be proactive..

nothing wrong with competition, that what the free economic world is all about...

that said you should support original parts and not ebay fakes. the competition should be on the orignal parts or parts you develop to compete againt them, i dont see whats wrong with it
