Default Change of email drops thread subscriptions?

This is a question to the mods:

I changed my email address in my User CP and after I verified the email address from the verification email, all of my thread subscriptions have been dropped. I have 0 subscriptions. Is this normal, intended behavior? If so, it's probably not something most people would want to happen. I'm a little tweaked about this.

Based on what I read in this thread...

https://my350z.com/forum/feedback-and-suggestions-for-our-forum/218610-lost-all-my-subscribed-threads.html

... I'm assuming that is the case. It's not "normal" from the view that you would want it to happen. Apparently it is a bug or feature of the vBulletin software that this (and most all) forums use.

DavesZ, thanks for that thread. Well, seems like this bug has been fixed on newer version of vBulletin. I'm also a member of NASIOC which also uses vBulletin. I did my email update there as well and my subscriptions did not get erased. Here's what I see:

my350z.com - vBulletin 3.5.2
NASIOC.com - vBulletin 3.6.4

I'd say vBulletin fixed this issues sometime between 3.5.2 and 3.6.4. Mods, time for an upgrade?

Actually, Godzilla mentioned an upgrade and some layout changes being on the way. I know it won't solve your current problem though.
