Default How can I become a Moderator?

I've been here long enough and I might as well become a moderator because I'm on here all the time.

I think I would be a great moderator

This is something I've wondered about too. Not that I'd want to be a Moderator, but what exactly does it entail? How many hours a week do you devote to the site? They don't get paid do they? Do you become one by starting a thread with your qualifications? I dunno.

You don't ask to become a moderator. You get selected to become one after they have watched you for years. I have owned car clubs and forums and only trust people I know really well and that do not ask to become one.

They need to be level headed and open as well. First thing you would need to do is at least contribute something to this site.

You have to be living in India. All moderation gets out sourced.

You definitely should have a college degree or be currently attending a university.

Very good questions. Moderators basically enforce the TOU, help keep the forums clean by moving threads to the proper sub-forum, deleting or locking threads, helping members with problems, and of course, answering questions. Time here varies, I probably spend 30 hrs easily in a week. No, we don't get paid. Some of us were chosen, others were "drafted" during a public call for volunteers last year.

1. You must own a Z and it must run at least a 12.00 in the 1/4 mile
2. You have to have a minimum of 5000 posts
3. You must have at least a Top Secret government clearance
4. You must be able to contribute at least twice as much **** as you have been already
5. You have to be able to spell and have perfect grammar and punctuation. Knowing the difference between your and you're is a must, as well as there their and they're. You also must warn any members for improper usage of the aforementioned words.
6. You must enforce the "search before you post" law with an iron fist - no stupid questions tolerated.
7. You must dedicate at least 12 hours a day to the forum, 10 of which you must spend searching for new **** to post.
8. You must pass a drug screen, background check, provide proof of residence in a major country, and prove that you have a girlfriend.
9. You have to fill out a 35-page application, disclosing information such as your social security number, bank account numbers and favorite color.
10. You must be willing to sign a 10-year contract that in the event of your lack of attendance or failure to follow any of the rules, all your assets shall become property of my350Z.com.

There are many other rules and requirements not mentioned here, but this will give you a general idea of what to expect. Good luck!
