For the most part I get along with 99.5% of people here. It's the 0.5% that I want to DIAF (Totally stealing this acronym from Hraesvelg ). That is why I would never be fit to be a moderator.

i have see moderators sign online and sign off line..

i find that funny because i made a relevant post to a thread in the F/I forum and it got deleted.. but no one wants to do anything about the racial post i report..

i guess this forum doesn't care about racial issues?

Doug, please note that when you report a post it does not go to all moderators. It goes to the moderator of that section. Seeing mods log on and off doesnt mean someone isnt going to deal with the problem.

IMO this calls for a ban of some sort. Going out of your way to point out skin color and blame that group for anything is beyond the pale.

reported posts go to email, not PM or something.

so if a moderator is not checking his email when he's on the forum, it doesn't mean he's ignoring the reported post. doug I thought you owned a forum..... shouldn't you know this? or maybe it's different from forum to forum, I wouldn't know.

I personally check out every reported post I see, most of them get handled but a few slip through the cracks if someone assumes another mod will take care of it.

Anyway obviously the all white and asian moderation staff is clearly racist so why even bother reporting.

 

I appologize for my comments.. i was really pissed off last night before i went to bed.. and was out of line.. i appologize.. its just that the suttle racial comments and slight racial comments have been popping out of no where and last night that one really pissed me off

look.. i saw Matt delete one of my posts.. and he is a SuperModerator.. so he gets all the emails.. and then i waited to see if the other post got deleted and it didn't.. so i was pissed off .. it was out of line.. and i never intended to call the moderators racisit.. i just think sometimes they look the other way.. more than often they do look the other way. Some comments i see in the OT Forum mods look the other way.. but becuase i get offended i am some how Over Sensitised or Playing the race card? Does this mean i must avoid certain parts of the forum because it makes me feel uncomfortable?

I know alot of times you see jokes and you laugh.. but you don't really understnad how a couple of us other members are offended by it..

 

Because the offensive post was not removed immediately you pulled the race card. Brilliant. That'll get the mods to respond quickly, good going. Must be nice to go through life with that kind of power.

I just don't like censorship. I think far too many people get offended because they have thin skin. I think this is especially true on race issues. What if we silenced every thing that offended every member on the forum?

Stereotypes exist for a reason, but b!tching about the symptoms and not the cause will get you no where and it's getting old fast.
