Can we get better moderators

and how do you figure immediately? 4 1/2 hours is a long time.. especially when i said Matt was deleting posts in the F/I forum

Stereotypes exist for a reason, but b!tching about the symptoms and not the cause will get you no where and it's getting old fast.

of course you don't care.. you are not the one who has fought every stereotype that people are offending you with.
I consider myself a succesful black man who has never asked for a handout.. i worked my *** off to get where i am and what i have got.. granted their are people of my race that don't have the same accomplishments or drive, but when people come here and classify a whole race the same.. you think i am thin skinned?

No problem doug... if you see racial problems on the site I would be happy to take care of them

Ex. Under MY350Z.COM Forums > Tech Area > Engine & Drivetrain, the moderators are 2004z, ZU L8R and Wired 24/7. If somebody reports a post in that section, they're the only 3 that will get the notification e-mail. None of the admins or other super mods will get notification. Thats it.
The only way supermods get notified is when they're directly assigned to forums. If they're not assigned, they don't get notified. If nobody is assigned to a forum, then the notification goes directly to the admins as a backup.
Moderator powers work downward in the structure too. So because 2004z, ZU L8R and Wired 24/7 are assigned mods the main Engine & Drivetrain section, they inherit all sub-forums and notifications from those sections; VQ35HR, Tuning, Intake Exhaust, Nitrous Oxide and Forced Induction.
Ideally, since super moderators have site wide moderation, you'd think they would get automatic notifications, but its just not how vbulletin works. Same with the admins. And as I said before, admins only get notifications in sections where there are no mods assigned, which is a default backup.
So if you report a post in this section (where no mods are assigned), it would go direct to all the admins.
Looking at the Show Groups page, my350z still needs to really come up with a better plan of attack on how they assign moderators to section to make the notification of reported posts more effective. Just my audit of the situation as a fellow admin because I think the site has some really ****ing good mods and senior members, but the tools aren't in place for them to be as effective as they could be.
On the contrary, you are mistaken in some parts. Let me make this easy for you guys..
We have regional/club mods =< moderators < super moderators < admins.
Club/regional and regular mods are assigned to specific subforums. If and when somebody reports a post, the corresponding moderator(s) get an email (which they have to check to find out.. it ain't telepathy). These moderators have limited moderating powers and only within the assigned subforums.
Super moderators have what the other mods have along with the ability to (un)ban. These moderators also have power in almost all of the forums and if and when a post is reported, they also receive an email (again, it's an email that we must check to know).
Admins have all of the above plus everything else that can be done with the vbulletin. There may be a difference between the admins, because for the most part they have specific jobs that do differ from one another.
BTW, some of the regular mods got "promoted" to super mods recently. So, problematic areas are being handled a bit faster and more efficiently. However, if you feel that certain issues aren't being addressed quickly, feel free to PM me and I'll try to resolve the issue. Just keep in mind that we're human too, with our own lives, and that we cannot be everywhere at once at all times.

I am a Super Admin of the maxima forums.. i know how VB works..
it still doesn't matter because Matt would have got the email even if he wasn't a super mod.. he is a mod of the OT Forum which the post fell under..
