Having trouble posting pics in a thread. The pics are too big, even after compression. I'm not register with photobucket or anything else and would like to stay that way. Is there a solution?

either make them smaller though something like photoshop or you will need to upload them to a host of some sort. why don't you want to register with photobucket or something like that?

Well I just want to post a couple of pics of my tires for a new post. I don't have a whole bunch of pictures of my car to have a photobucket account. I guess I'll try resizing them but I don't have photoshop.

photobucket is free and you dont have to use it or even log in until the next opportunity comes along to post pics? That would be alot easier then resizing etc. maybe im just practical who knows.

Try tinypic.com, it's owned by photobucket and you don't need an account.

even easier, upload to http://imageshack.us/
for posting on forums, i check the box that says 'resize image?' and choose [640x480] or [800x600]

then take the direct link to the image and wrap the image tags around it [img]xxxxxx[/img]

i wouldn't upload personal/private pictures this way, because there's no way to delete it off of imageshack's server or whatever. but it'll be fine for uploading pics of tires or whatever.
