To me, this is a contradiction of your entire NSFW arugment.

Fact is, nothing has changed with this whole debate. The mods haven't changed their policy. I've already stated that I agree with the PG rating on all public posts and all avatars. The TOU states this to back up my argument. It's up to the mods to not remove anything that could be seen in a PG environment. If you can go to the pool (public "PG" environment) and see "barely covered nipple or ****" then you should be allowed to post it as an avatar.

Then again, this is totally in context, as there is a BIG difference between something that is suggestive and something that is totally rauchy. It's up to the mod's discression, as always.

Answer me this - how come any pictures involving T&A are marked appropriately as NSFW in every applicable thread title? Its not nudity but its common knowledge to most folks with common sense that it is NSFW.

well, if you were following the rules according the TOU we wouldnt be having this discussion, would we?

maybe the mods should revise the TOU or something. because to you, you followed the rules but ovbiously someone felt it wasnt 'PG'.

I agree. I was following rules of TOU as it was PG. The problem is that someone took offense because they were oversensitive and pressured someone to remove mine in particular.

If moderators are indeed moderate then all of this content will be removed. I'm NOT saying that I WANT them too, only that once they have set the "precedent" as you would say, it should be followed universally.

We've come full circle, haven't we? This conversation has long outlived its usefulness...

My two cents.....I agree with 3hree5ive0ero and taurran......

If I worked somewhere which looked down upon such things as these NSFW* avatars.....I'd go to my control panel and turn off avatars.....I would never complain and report someone for something so trivial as a NSFW* avatar......

I think the DNF association started with the previous thread....and since it was locked...that discussion came to this thread.....DomZ was instrumental with the DNF association with this post in the previous thread IMO:

With that said you can't say all DNF feels this way.....this DNF member says this:

It's annoying IMO because it seems indicative of the minority controlling the majority......you know the saying...."the squeaky wheel gets the grease first..." When someone gets their panties in a wad for a NSFW* avatar....because they're surfing at work....they complain and ruin it for everyone...

* - NSFW varies by opinion.....my boss could care less what's on my computer.....everyone's idea of NSFW differs.....

PLEASE...

You expect me to believe that EVERY instance of a NSFW pic is marked by a disclaimer? If you require it, I'll pull up numerous threads that are not, even this one. (I seem to recall a picture of a dog humping a duck a while back)

I feel taurran originally picked on DNF because of Vo's "bawls in yo mouf" avatar but I can see how you would draw a conclusion from my post last night. In case anyone was wondering BPZ is DNF IIRC.

Its not about anyone controlling anyone. Its about people having the common sense to know what is generally acceptable as work safe. YOUR office may allow the viewing of normally NSFW material but you still have to be courteous to others.

I reiterate: If all the threads with scantly clad women are appropriately marked NSFW in the Lounge then WHY do you feel that the generally accepted mindset doesn't apply to you or your avatar?

Because the avatar(s) in question are PG material.

There are numerous photo threads with models posing on cars. They are not marked NSFW because they are acceptable.

Here's what it really comes down to: Why don't you just turn avatars off if you're so concerned with them?

Again, full circle.

No, you can't police everyone but the TOU are pretty clear if we want to get into that. The threads dedicated to such things are marked NSFW by people with posting common sense/courtesy (and those who don't want to get banned).

Appropriately titled NSFW threads in the Lounge:
https://my350z.com/forum/the-lounge-off-topic/194822-post-pics-of-your-girlfriends-or-women-you-are-currently-seeing.html
https://my350z.com/forum/the-lounge-off-topic/325555-nsfw-boy-shorts-love-em.html

https://my350z.com/forum/the-lounge-off-topic/333787-help-my-wifey-needs-your-help-again-nsfw.html
https://my350z.com/forum/the-lounge-off-topic/337894-mmmmmm-sweet-16-possible-nsfw.html
https://my350z.com/forum/the-lounge-off-topic/277118-booty-no-nudity-allowed.html

Even the threads that aren't are marked something like "The Official HOT WHITE GIRL Thread" or the "Persian Princess Thread!" which can easily be avoided by those who browse from work.

the material on this forum isn't ranked the same way film ratings are, so don't even get into calling it PG or not PG. do you even know how complicated that rating system is? down to counting the # of times certain words are used..
stick with NSFW since this is what the issue at hand is about.
There are numerous photo threads with models posing on cars. They are not marked NSFW because they are acceptable.
actually if i recall correctly, almost all such threads i've stumbled upon have had the NSFW warning. if they originally did not, the OP or a mod ended up adding it to the title.
Here's what it really comes down to: Why don't you just turn avatars off if you're so concerned with them?

because that's just f'n annoying. i, along with many, many others, recognize people by their avatars. we shouldn't be forced to compromise our forum experience because of a handful of people who refuse to be courteous and follow the directions.
again, let me say, i highly doubt it was ONE person's fault that your av was taken down. the mods must have agreed with his [and others?] reporting of your avatar, otherwise why would they have taken it down?

And TOU acceptible but personally questionable avatars can be avoided by clicking the "do not view avatars" option.

Unfortunately that also turns off all the acceptable avatars that I identify people by (including my own which I paid for and which also abides by forum rules) so your logic is flawed. Ignoring clicking on threads that are appropriately titled does not make the rest of the SFW threads disappear. Try again.
