Not normally. Whether action occurs depends a lot on the reason you're reporting it. If it's a minor infraction, the OP may get a warning. If it's major, they could get a ban or the thread could be removed. It just depends on the circumstances.
Thats not true. A while back there were a bunch of us who reported a particular someone whom we thought was starting racist threads and nothing got done. I didnt even get a reply from any of the moderators I reported the issue to. Whatever its done and over with but I just thought I'd clear up what you said.
