Not sure if this was meant for me. I avoid the forum politics and like to stay neutral. The forum is strictly entertainment value for me, so I can get by my boring day at work. I don't do any surfing past 6pm or on the weekends. Cheer up man, life's too short to worry about a bunch of forums guys giving you a hard time.

I have been in the import scene for a long time and I know that if someone ever treated me like this punk is when I was first getting into the scene I would have been totally turned off by this site and the scene. Actually, I think he got "god" right. God should refer to whatever God you worship (ie, Christian, Muslim or whatever). god is usually in reference to lesser gods (ie "forum god"). Or if I think my God is better than your god.
Or if he were using God as a proper name, instead of referring to that god by their name (Allah, Yahweh).

 

My .02 on this topic is that its absurd to make people pay for the right to use an avatar. This is the only car forum ive seen that does this, and consequently, this is the blandest forum appearance wise ive visited. The Admins feel that they are going to make more money off of its members by doing this (and they probably are).

I will never pay a single cent to these people.

To the noobs..
Seriously...I've been on damn near every car/motorcycle forum out there. There are certain "rules" to follow, but admins and members can also play a role in making it easier/harder on noobs. I've also shot off a PM here asking for specific help but didn't get a response, so be it. I don't think my world is going to collapse on itself, but it would have been nice to get a response.
One interesting point always made regarding admins is how unbelievably busy they are. Of the admins I've personally known (about 6 or 7), none were more/less busy than myself, an architect by trade. They usually have normal jobs and monitor the site a lot less than most people think. It's a thankless job and I'm glad I've turned down the opportunity to do so in the past, but it is by no means air traffic control at LAX.
As for the avatar issue, I personally think it's a fairly mundane point, but one that would/could add more character to the site if it were free (I too have never seen a site make it's members pay for the 'privilage'.). So be it.

Man I'm glad I searched this forum before I asked such a question. I actually sat and read all of these posts just to see how hard it is to get the requested info out of the members. The sarcastic remarks are humorous for a short time but tend to get way out there after a few back & forth post.
I must say I too was entertained like VO & I got my answer here.
