Yep you have to pay $30 to have your own avatar. Only reason people like me have one is because we have kept ours since before that new rule. People that have tried to change them and arent premier members have lost theirs. It really takes away from the individuality on the forum because most people arent goig to pay $30 for an avatar and a couple of other small privledges.

I wouldn't say that. There sure are a lot of Orange names in the online list.

For me personally, I paid the $30.00 because I found this to be a site that I enjoyed coming to. Except for the occasional hairy knuckles really immature flaming that goes on (and even that too, can be entertaining), it's interesting to see what other Z owners are up to. I felt that supporting the site was appropriate and hey...I get my own avatar.

Yeah because the orange names are the ones who are on more often. I would like to know a total number of premier members and see the percentage. I am not saying there arent plenty, but the vast majority of members arent paying members. And yes it does take away from the individuality. Its how people come to recognize who is posting with just a mere glance and it can show their persona through whats in their avatar. A forum given avatar does not do that.

go to User CP (top left of page), Edit Avatar (in left menu bar) -- then pick from the standard choices -- you can't get a custom one unless you go premium.
