I emailed our contact last week about this feature not working, and have yet to hear back (I know it's not his fault, he said he would pass the issue over to someone to handle for me)

Any feedback/fix in the works on this? It's quite an important feature for a vendor to have

Thanks!

Been cover a few times my man. Editing feature was revoked for everyone, across the board, due to all the scamming that was happening. Only Mods/Admins can edit your post now. Please PM a Moderator or Admin with what you'd like changed and we can do it for you.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience...

well the whole situation sucks. If you find people posting and then deleting it, and that's something you don't want (I can understand why), just ban them and explain why. To punish the rest of us is over reaching, and negatively impacts us.

As far as the scammers on here causing the reason, as was explained above, I can understand that, but there are very easy ways to deal with that too. Unfortunately, as I am going through a situation with a former member here now, who scammed us out of nearly $5000, I can tell you, Internet Brands has been absolutely ABSENT in their dealings, despite requests from the police handling the matter.

I've already reached out to Rich, who is the only person I know here, and he was supposed to reach out to Onyx, who I guess works for IB. As of yet, I've not heard from Onyx at all...nor have the police. To say the whole thing is ridiculous would be an understatement

and, it's now been 1 week since Rich said he would contact IB for me, and the police have left numerous messages that have gone unanswered. Seems so far, the change to IB has not brought any benefits to any members here, paying or non paying. The site is slower, has less features, and when a problem arises, at least in my case (which is a serious matter that has far reaching affects), they are no where to be found. Not a good way to do things IMHO

Things really need to change, soon. I don't want us losing some of best vendors and soon probably people. Such a shame for such a great website to be going to ****. Thanks guys, who ever you are running this

I understand your fustration. No doubt it was a bummer and inconvenience to everyone. The problem is, we can not monitor all transactions and threads. We try and do what we can, but just can't. This is volunteered time. Banning someone after the damage has been done would serve as no punishment. Not to mention, we are talking about money here and not just a priviledge to post. Most scammers never return anyway. They do the damage, take the money, and run. The decision was made to take a proactive stance. Just remove the priviledge across the board. This way, no one can go back and erase something they wrote or change prices. It keeps everyone honest.

I feel your pain sir. $5000 is enough to make anyone seek blood! As everyone is aware though, this forum is just a platform with a captured audience. Naturally, with a captive audience, it makes a great platform to sell products. That's all that it is. As with everyone on the forum, all transactions are at the buyer's/seller's risk. My350z.com nor it's owners or staff are active transaction mediators. If there are other protocols in place, with regards to vendor/site owner that I am not aware of, please disregard my previous comments. I for one am not aware of them, and would like to be for future reference.

Please do not take my comments as being unsympathetic to your loss. I am meerly stating the facts and guidlines of the forum as I have interpreted them....

Sorry to hear about this Adam.....you'd think IB would be more proactive in helping you with your situation.

So now that my Premium membership dropped, I can no longer edit the posts I created when i was a Premium member? Can this be fixed? Or is this a scam in order to get me to buy another membership?

IB has way too much on their plate than to deal with idiosyncratic issues with my350z... They have Audiworld and Scionlife....those sites require WAY more time than this one.

They're over 7 bucks a share right now....I wonder if my350z is responsible for that boost/drop (sry, don't follow the stock).

BTW, the software doesn't remember me from forum to forum anymore on the main FORUMS link to "new posts" but it does on the User CP line

Oh, basically, certain members decided that it would be cool to edit/delete contents off this forum after transferring it to their new forum, then they decided to laugh about it there. It's not like they aren't copying threads from here to there right now, but at least they can't delete content that's already on here.

JonnyC, the answer is no, but if you want to renew your membership, I won't stop you.

I'm going to revert things back to the way they were, with regards to the edit/delete abilities, with the upcoming forum update/upgrade at of this month (that's when I was told it'd be done).
