Default Deleting posts - Some can some cant?

Sorry to bring this up again... but this is bugging me. In the thread https://my350z.com/forum/lounge-off-...-worker-4.html
it seems I cannot delete my post, but someone else can...

I attached screenshots, as did he.

Yeah, I've already brought this up to IB's attention long ago. No definite answer was given as to why some were able to edit while some weren't and why some were able to delete while some weren't and why some were able to do both while some weren't.

I hope you read the other threads to know why these abilities were taken away in the first place.

Don't worry though. With the upgrade, I'm planning on bring these abilities back anyway. If you don't mind, please just wait it out. The update is supposedly end of this month. At the very least, I will keep my end of the promise even if my schedule doesn't match IB's.

Sorry for the inconvenience and what seems like selective discrimination.

Thanks 3hree for the response.

I have been through the other threads and I do know the reason behind the feature being removed, don't worry.

Any word on when the upgrade will come?

No problem.

Yes, the update should be around the end of this month. We'll see if that happens on schedule (hopefully, it does).

The problem is, there are about 20 different (additional) sub-user groups on this forum, so if you're a member of one, but than somehow a member of another, ie. National Z, your permissions are all screwed up. I think I just disabled all that; what will happen when we upgrade the forum is usergroup cleanup, ie - clearly defined groups that you can be a member of, so everyone has the same abilities, be it adding pics, editing posts and etc.

I'm not sure if this was clearly stated or answered in another thread... but...

Will the upgrade offer Premier Members premium features over standard non-paying members?

I think I mentioned in a few threads, but I can state it here also.

Not everything is set in stone, but from my last discussion regarding this topic with the Adrian, he said many of my suggestions are very possible. Here's a list of what I can remember at the moment:
-games/casino
-bigger PM box
-ability to PM more people at once
-notes about another member or perhaps a message wall type page
-prizes (doesn't have to be monetary)
-PM packages

Since my thread was prematurely closed.....make sure you show some "patience".....

It looks like somebody's craving attention again.

The reason why your thread was closed was because it was answered. Let's not rehash, ok?

The reason why I had held off on bringing back the delete/edit features until now was because the upgrade was supposed to be this Thursday (only 4 days after the "end of August." Since, it has been pushed back to next week, and I did say that I wasn't going to follow their schedule if it gets delayed, I was going to bring it back on the day the upgrade was supposed to happen. I've been posting from my phone throughout the day and now that I'm finally at a computer, I'll be changing the user permissions... right now.

edit 1 - Oops, forgot to give an update. So, everybody should be able to edit, but only PMs and Sponsors can delete their own posts/threads. That's how I remembered it being, but I could be wrong, as I didn't take away those features in the first place. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

edit 2 - Be advised that if another incident occurs, where a user(s) is transferring content here to a competing forum and deleting the original here, the abilities to edit/delete will be taken away for good promptly.

What are you talking about...??? I'm excited about the "upgrade".....very interested in seeing what new features we have.

It may have been answered, but it turns out the correct answer changed till next week. That was my point in bumping this.....Very few people see those announcements from IB......

You kept your word......kudo's.

I think that's indeed the way it was.

Well, you don't seem very enthusiastic about it. You only seem to be interested in constantly nagging on administrators, but it does keep us on top of things at the same time. I guess I can't ask for just the good (read: less sarcasm and the constant smart aleck tone)?

As far as the announcement goes, IB was supposed to give you guys an update and announce on Tuesday about the upcoming upgrade that was supposed to happen today. One of the guys had forgotten about it, which I didn't know until I asked/reminded him since I've been busy lately.

And, yes, I did.

Again, I was going to time it with IB's schedule, which I thought was announced when it wasn't. So, I apologize for the lack of communication on the staff's part.

What's weird?

I've said I'm excited to see what the upgrade entails.......I don't know how else to say it......

Hell, I defended IB (again) here just yesterday:

https://my350z.com/forum/6253639-post42.html

And FWIW......this is the Feedback section......so that entails the good, the bad, and the ugly......

Not to rehash and get banned but since you kind've mentioned it.....lol.....you closed my thread, saying patience is a virtue, and don't realize they'd postponed the new date next week.

What's weird?
Maybe weird isn't the right word......things seem strange when you don't know a lot of details in regards to a particular subject. I know you said the notice is posted in the Premier* section.......so most of us have no idea what you're talking about. Only a couple of comments you've made about PM transferring threads and deleting them here or something like that.
