+1 for not even being able to find something you know is here somewhere, but don't feel like reading through 50 + pages of threads to find.

Edit since people got notices: Please don't send me a "how to" on searching. I've been here a while searched before and had no problem.

Seriously....the ****'s not right.....

I have to admit that I am kind of insulted by being sent a notice; as if after five years I am still unaware how to use the search feature.

In any case, I'm done talking to myself about this. If it gets fixed it gets fixed, if it doesn't it doesn't. I do appreciate Dave and VO at the very least showing some staff acknowledgment of the problem.

+1, even though I have not been on this forum for 5 years, I have been doing this for awhile(10+ years).

So this question is for IB not the mods/admins... You guys have enough time to put up this useless search FAQs but not fix the search... Come on now I'm sure it doesn't take this long to fix this problem

I am glad someone else sees this the way I do. Dave, thanks for taking the time to look into this for us. We do appreciate it

Yea our search feature has gone to complete S*hit. Usually I come up with sorry no files found. When I do come up with threads found they are from like 2002-2004. WTF?

I'm looking for a particular vendor's product - and search comes up with nothing.. I know the post exists.. it's just beyond the 5 pages that the sub-forum allows me to browse. This is bad.

+1 on taking 15 minutes to find a post I looked at the same day by typing in exact title contents in the advanced search titles only and specifying the section...

Any ETA on when the new version of Vbulletin will be released? I don't even bother searching anymore, which really sucks for the guys in the classifieds trying to sell stuff.

Thanks Vo and dave.
