Default IDEA - TSB Forum:

Hey All - Here's an idea:

10/15/03

A forum which strictly lists threads based on TSB's would be great! The 1st msg thread would be the TSB. That way we can see what we need to communicate to dealerships, and other prior experiences and resolutions from other owners.

I just bought a 2003 model, love it, but would like to be proactive on maintenance and TSB issues for known problems.

OTW/ Outside of Alignment/Feathering & Paint problems are there other TSB/Non-TSB issues out here?

I love the WEB! Consumers now have a chance!

Sorry - I am New to site and just found TSB in resources section, but coupling the TSB with owner/dealer resolutions and experiences would be a nice touch.

Default Threaded TSB

bgumby99/ares:

bgumby: Thanks for the new link. I didn't know about that one.

ares: I like this board and the resources page.

What I am trying to get at is to correlate TSB repairs with user experience in getting the repair done. This would let users know exactly what to tell dealers to get the repair done with the least amount of hassle.

Mind you, I know it's not always that way but it has been my experience that dealers and automakers will try to weezle out of some repairs unless you describe the problem in a specific manner. A case in point is a mention of bad paint on one of the threads here and the repair under warranty. The mention of chipping paint got no action, but describing the paint problem as "orange peel" produced the desired results.

is the TSB forum closed to members? obviously I can post in there, but I can post in any thread, doesnt tell us if members cant. perhaps thats a consideration to let members post to TSB threads with their experiences.

Yep. At least for me. The TSB section was set up that way.

I cannot post a message to a TSB thread.
