Why do I see a thread here, but can't see who posted it?

Perhaps we could give that top secret little admin functionality that REALLY puts people on ignore to the Premium Members? That would be an awesome perk to buying a PM.

(P.S. Add a search function to the Private Message box for sponsors and PMs)
Best that the admin can do is put certain members on EVERYONE's ignore list.

I have a funny feeling no mod is going to do anything about it.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. One of moderators' many jobs is to handle these sort of requests, as necessary, of course. Feel free to contact me if there are any problems regarding the forum content and/or its members (including mods).

As far as davidv, I don't think the guy you quoted was referring to him - those aren't his threads. BTW, davidv's been here a long time (longer than most) and that has always been his style.

JEKL I was not referring to Davidv. The guy I am talking about makes the threads not just post in certain ones. He makes the most worthless threads, doesnt own a Z and post the same stuff on all his other forums. I have him on ignore but his threads still show up...

Seriously why the fukc do we need a new thread for every ****ing movie, *****, car, shoe, piece of candy, new tampon, new koolaid flavor, change in temperature that this guy experiences. I have never known a man to crave so much attention in my life. The fact that he has no interest in 350z's is utterly hilarious.

I would love for his name to never come up again in my searches.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, I in no way think that the mods are not doing their job. But I do feel that there are instances where this site looks the other way depending on who the person making the post is.

This pretty much supports my above comment. How does length of membership exclude someone from TOU violations?

Sorry, didn't mean to put words into your mouth. He was the first person that came to mind when 3hree5ive0ero mentioned post whoring. Continuously bumping 6 month old threads to ask a person who hasn't been active in 5 months if they bought a 350Z is the definition of post whoring. If I was a betting man, I would wager that someone in a position of authority here has noticed, yet it still occurs on a weekly basis.

I see what you're saying. What I meant by that was, if we were to enforce every rule so strictly, this site wouldn't be very enjoyable.

If it were solely up to me, this place would be a lot cleaner. But that also means a lot of the post ****** (most people in OT) would be gone, many would get banned for inciting stupid arguments, some of the sub-forums wouldn't exist, etc.

As much as I'd like for the forum to change, drastic changes and lack of leniency are unfavorable in the long run.

I'm a believer that he has a mission to post one single sentance (usefull or not((normally the latter)) in EVERY thread on this forum.

I may be in the minority, but I am not so sure that would be a bad thing. Which is ironic considering I would probably be one of the many that got banned.

Does anyone know the maximum number of members you can add to your ignore list?

The IGNORE option should be available by clicking on their name.

We should be able to mark a thread as ignored.

When somebody quotes an ignored member (with their name boldly listed in the quote) the ignore filter should catch it.

Kind of like how I got banned a couple weeks back for putting a WTB thread in the wrong section? That was pretty awesome.

I friendly PM asking me not to do it again would have sufficed, but I guess certain mods just like to remind everyone how badass they are
