I'm sure it was. Did you have a nice time off?

There are rules that are enforced more strictly than others. Post whoring, not so much, seeing how we have members with well over 10K posts.

The marketplace rule has been enforced strictly due to the increased number of spammers and at the same time other marketplace rules were also enforced. Maybe you should start your thread in the correct section next time. I mean, we do have the marketplace rules listed outside of the TOU page for a reason. They're either stickied or listed as an announcement.

I had a lovely time out thank you. I'm also glad to see I can expect the same level of maturity/professionalism out of you that I got from the mod who did actually ban me. Thats always encouraging...

I hardly ever peruse the marketplace, so I completely forgot about the TOU. Like I said, you guys move threads literally all the time. You could have done that, or just deleted it and asked me not to do it again. But, instead I got banned over a WTB thread? Really? As I told the mod who dropped the hammer on me, we have a lot of nonsense here that goes on with vendors, and a lot of times, its months before anything happens to them, so forgive me if I find cause to doubt your statement about the TOU.

You said that davidv gets leeway because he's been here a while. I've been here nearly five years, and I actually contribute something to the 350Z-related discussion that goes on here (fancy that, huh). So, bearing that in mind, I can only surmise you have a thing for him, or you have a beef with me.

At any rate, I'm glad for you that you think your mod status make you hard or something, but maybe tone it down a bit and less members here would dislike you.

You were being sarcastic so I played along. I didn't realize you couldn't take a little joke, so I will apologize.

Also, as far as you being banned, it's probably because you accrued enough infraction points to get automatically banned by the system (which also means you've been a "malcontent" prior to this event - ex. harassing TXStyle). Only repeat offenders in the marketplace get banned directly by a super moderator (regular mods cannot ban - common misconception).

</admin>

BTW, "less members here would dislike you." Are you serious? Do you honestly think I care if a few people I'll never encounter outside of this site dislike me or not? Would you care or would your life be any different if I told you I disliked you? I'm not here to win a popularity contest.

Admin's job isn't to make friends, it's to make sure the site runs smoothly. If a few members get their panties in a wad to make sure the 10s of thousands of members can enjoy the site, so be it. Can't please everyone.

I probably spend as much, if not more, time in the Marketplace than anyone else and see a ton of rule violations going on in there. I know a bunch of threads get deleted, but I have never heard of anyone getting banned for not posting pics/username/price.

Good to see you've got TX's back.

Just to be clear then, am I good to make a thread about every inane thought I have throughout the course of my day?

And because you are an OG, feel free to bump 3 year old threads in OT to ask for an update.

I had a Firehouse Subs for lunch, I think that experience warrants its own thread, no?

This site approves of threads about horseradish cheddar chips, so I don't see why Firehouse Subs would be a TOU violation.

When did I say I "have got TX's back"? Regardless of how annoying he may be to you, he's still a member and still protected under our harassment clause. I was just mentioning him since that was the most recent report that I saw on you.

Why don't you put him on ignore then? And also, don't click on his threads. If you don't even have enough self control to just keep browsing past the threads you don't like and the members you don't like, then forums aren't the place for you.

BTW, I'm assuming that you understood what I said above about the infraction points and how it was you who got yourself banned, considering that's the direction you were going with in your previous post but now you've diverted everybody's attention to how TXStyle is being protected. Don't assume that moderators are out to get you - they have lives to live.

Please just stop OT'ing this thread.

I think DavidV is making a point when he does that.

Sorry for the OT. I understand the "points" system, but I think that my situation could have been handled a little better. If you disagree, thats fine I guess. I've never thought anyone is out to get me. I just think that some moderators here (and not necessarily you) err on the side of douchiness. Out of sheer curiousity, I'd like to see the latest report on me. Maybe I earned it, but I'm just wondering what it contained in general terms. PM me if you wish. I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm just genuinely curious what gets talked about behind closed doors.

A quick aside, to the guy who made a comment about me post whoring, wtf? Seriously, look at the threads I've created. They're usually technical or otherwise related to the car somehow. Not exactly sure where you get off making that comment, but whatever. Basically, your post makes no sense at all.

As mentioned earlier, Marketplace rules are more strictly enforced than some of our other rules. Everybody who doesn't follow the rules there should get an infraction point, no exceptions. Appropriately, that's where most infractions are given, according to the record logs. Nobody gets a pass there.

Also, if you genuinely think that certain moderator's actions/behavior may be questionable, you can and should contact an admin. I'm not the only admin, btw. You can also contact IB, but they fwd most non-technical issues to the forum admins (me and yobri)

As far as what gets discussed, it's pretty simple. Anytime you're contacted by a mod (including but not limited to PMs, posts, and threds), it gets logged for future reference. And if you ever receive an infraction point, the points may expire but it still gets recorded.

To who? Just because someone who asks for advice doesn't come back to the site to report in doesn't necessarily mean that they never bought a 350Z. Maybe he doesn't understand that new owners don't generally want to end up being a grown *** man dedicating years of his life to a car forum. Or maybe after seeing what a bunch of a$$holes we are, the person never wanted to come back.

If they don't like us then GTFO. We're not here to spoon feed every kid information after watching Fast and Furious.

That's with the assumption the mod accurately portrays your/his contact.......
