Me too and its getting very annoying. If it keeps up I'm disabling my account here. I CANNOT go thru another virus attack/restore fiasco.

Staff PLEASE fix this ASAP.

Happened to me earlier. Virus scanner picked it up and removed it though.

Edit: It happened when I was using IE. Has not happened when I use Firefox with ABP and No Script.

What kind of virus protection software are you guys running? I just got a new laptop and it didn't come with anything. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I clicked on the ABP symbol on FF and found some lines regarding my350z. I have no idea what I'm looking at, but the filter shows some kind of ad request from Germany? Type = script. WTF does all that mean? Anyone else?

This is what I'm using for security...

Firefox with Ad Block Plus (ABP) and No Script.
Microsoft Security Essentials.
Comodo Firewall.

No virus issues so far. My other laptop is the one that had the virus problem which only has Windows Defender.

I always have AVG running, and I use FF ABP. After some posts I read yesterday, I went ahead and used Malwarebytes in safe mode to make sure I was clean.

AVG and Malewarebytes

Some people recommend Zone Alarm...but honestly it seems pretty useless to me.

Avast! is a very good alternative to AVG.

If you are experiencing the fake windows antivirus, here's the removal instructions. I did this and it worked for me:
