Default There should be a separate Marketplace for OEM parts only

I'm not complaining or bashing my350z.com or any of the member here on this forum. Just giving a suggestion/opinion.

Out of all the forums i visit, my350z.com's marketplace has to be the biggest OEM parts galore

When I search the marketplace I am looking for great deals on nice aftermarket parts new or used. Having OEM parts is nice for those who need a replacement and etc, but i feel like its just too many. Also the 350z parts are almost all the same across all the years so that makes it even worse.

What do you think of having just an OEM parts section so our marketplace doesn't get cluttered with OEM parts that nobody wants anyways????

Good idea, IMO.

So all OEM parts would be in one single sub forum or would this create several new sub forums for each type of OEM part (OEM Interior, OEM Exterior, OEM Engine, OEM Wheels, etc.)? Either option sounds a little cumbersome.

Looking at the first page of the marketplace now, there are only a few OEM pieces. Doesn't seem like it is out of control.

Either way seems fine. Making a separate forum for OEM market place with sub forums just like the private classifieds or making a sub form for all OEM parts within the private classifieds. Anyone who opens a new oem f/s on the non oem forums should be moved or penalized lol jkjk

Just take a look at the "Exhaust" f/s section. Out of the 40 threads in the first page 15 are OEM exhaust components for sale and same goes for the "Suspension" f/s section.

Not saying is out of control, you click on what you want no one is forcing so thats ok. F/S section (which is what I look at the most) would be easier and nicer to browse if all the OEM parts were gone.

Discussed the request with staff. We decided to not add a new subsection to the current Classifieds. However, we did created an "OEM" prefix that can be added to the title of a thread. It's up to the user to add the "OEM" prefix when they create their thread. This will make it easier to perform searches for OEM parts...

We will most likely not have additional sub-forum(s) for OEM parts. If we create a new sub-forum for OEM parts today, it'll be something else tomorrow (it was 18", 19", 20", etc wheels/tires yesterday). It just doesn't/won't end.

However, I did add new color coded prefixes for when you create threads (ex: FS, OEM FS, FT, OEM FT, etc). This way, the user will be able to note whether or not the item in the ad is an OEM part or not.

Please keep in mind that you guys are be able to search within the marketplace for certain prefixes AND/OR tags.

That sounds like a pretty good idea. Especially for those who are wanting to go back to stock.
