new column on the right
It cramps things on a regular screen. I hate surfing on my iphone now....
Its useless..........the only thing that IB cares about in that column is the AD space. Why not just put the ad right where the others are and eliminate that column. The amount of dead space to the right ( column of text/ad only extends so far down leaving a ton of dead space afterward) makes it look like an amateur programmed it in.
Maybe instead of trying to make more pennies per hit you guys should fix your servers so I don't get that "whoops cant find it" page.

The column list of other threads with new posts and the advert below it doesn't add any value to making this a better and more user friendly forum. The only value added would be to the pockets of the forum's owners. I'm on a 350z forum, why would i care about 3yrs no scheduled maintenance on a vw or care about local singles? I don't believe this a step in the right direction towards improving the forum and creating more traffic from new users. What's next, placing adds in threads in between each post? It's getting out of hand now. Keep that column on the main page as others have suggested before.

Chris ("neutral")
It is pretty clear that IB has little/no concern for our comments/recommendations.....it's a shame. Even with problems related to the crashing browser problem and virus it took FOREVER for them to show any concern.
I have already been spending less time here, and more time on other non-IB forums strictly due to the sidebar aggravation. I'm sure I am not alone on this, and hopefully IB realizes this before they lose too many users/traffic due to it.
Seems as if someone might need a lesson in marketing.
i roam this site on my iPad, and its terrible. if people dont like it on a 22'' screen, why wouldnt it bother you on a 9'' iPad?
what's the need for the 'hottest topics' on a side bar when i can easily browse each subforum in a matter of seconds. i want my forum/subforums sorted by relevence (which they are), not 'most popular' (side bar).

it doesnt look good at all..
i would accept it at the main page, but not all the forums and sub-forums.
The column on the right clearly isn't for functionality purposes. They make that clear by placing the ad on top now.
