This is getting ridiculous....what is with this toyota ad that is constantly now on top and the top sidebar ad.....

Considering I never, ever search for anything toyota related........I am guessing this is of IB's doing.

Hey guys,

I am in Canada, and do not see the Toyota ad, but I agree it is the wrong size for those ad units. We do NOT control the ads placed in these units, they are all powered by Google, and those ad units have been there for quite some time.

That said, that Toyota ad is the wrong size, so, if you could please copy me the click through URL of the ad, and I will ask our ad team to have it blocked from the site.

cheers,
robb

Care to explain why it is the only ad I see now? I don't ever search anything toyota related. I am sure the PAYING sponsors will be dismayed to know that a free ad is continually displayed and theirs are not. Is it fair to think that you have no intention on commenting on the others issues raised within this thread? Also, why does this site have 30+ ads and a the constant sidebar when g35driver has not changed at all? How about at least an option for paying members to disable/collapse the side bar?

According to advertising, Toyota has a campaign running on the vast majority of car forums on the net right now. It is over tomorrow, and then the ads will disappear. It has nothing to do with your internet history, these ads are apparently being prioritized across the net.

As for the sidebar ads, the main reason they are here first, and not on g35driver yet, is that there simply is a much larger group of vendors catering to the Z cars, and we are attempting to help them get increased exposure to our members for their valuable advertising dollars. I would anticipate something like this being rolled out over there as well.

As far as being able to make it collapsable for premier members, while I don't find it a bad idea, I've no clue whether this is something that is technically possible. I will inquire for you however.

cheers,
robb
