The guy probably took things a little too personal, but you guys just kept egging him on like a bunch of children.

boo again to 350z.com

reminds me of the time i posted on this forum about how slow the 350 was compared to cars in it's price range, people called me troll, etc.

I visit 3 car forums, 2 bodybuilding forums, and 2 music forums, and this forum is the absolute worst for people ganging up on threads and bringing someone down.

Just one mans opinion.

I didn't want him banned, for the record.

I didn't jump on him, but I tried to reason with him a little. I think he's very hot-headed and just gets a bit too steamed too quickly. The guy definitely needs to learn to take things a little better. If not for that, he'd still be allowed to post here.

I just think its a shame.

I disagree with the sentence.

Was he given the mandatory three strikes ... or was he banned outright?

He was a hothead, and not entirely blameless, but a banning seems disproportionatly severe.

He dissed the robots and must therefore be liquidated.

If this keeps happening, and you don't like it, why not just leave this forum? Nobody's forcing you to stay here and read these posts.

In fact, that's all I've seen you do here - flame US for starting flame wars. It's getting tiresome.

He was a cool guy when I talked with him once or twice. There are way too many dicks on here that are always saying, why dont you do a search and bashing people. If they dont like it, they dont need to reply. Second, this place is meant for asking questions. So people should either reply to them in the thread or dont say anything at all. If I wanted to do a search, i would do one. I agree, I have been on other forums before and this one by far has the most bashers and high and mighty mods. Just my .02

There are two clear rules that apply to him:

10.) HARASSMENT/FLAMING
Any harassment of other members will not be tolerated. Name calling, picking fights, etc. Do not make posts that incite arguments, or any post that turns to arguments and flame wars, etc. Posts of this nature will not be tolerated and can result in the immediate closing or deletion or editing of the post and the banishment of the posting members account. Any insults or harassments towards staff members will result in instant banishment.

He was clearly threatening 350trackz and Rouxeny. Above and beyond being argumentative, inciting flames, he was subject to immediate banishment for the above and in particular, for insult and harrassment of a staff member. His comments about wanting to meet Rouxeny were threatening, intimidating and as I said elsewhere, scary.

21.) STRIKES
Strikes or warnings are issued for misbehaviors or for breaking rules. These strikes carry on to all usernames of the same person. Same goes for banishment; when a person is banned, all of their existing usernames are banned as well. There are ways to track usernames of the same person.

MY350Z.COM reserves the right to change these rules at any time and the staff's word is final.

If you receive an e-mail/private message from a "Moderator" addressing behavioral issues please don't take it as a personal attack. The Staff of MY350Z.COM are here to assist with making this site run smoothly and this means from time to time Staff may offer corrective suggestions and/or advice.

Rules as stated above apply to ALL forums within the MY350Z.COM Forums community however, certain forums contain rules in ADDITION to those set out above. You must also adhere to the individual rules (if they exist) when you post in that particular forum. They will be found directly below this announcement...

Please feel free to report any posts that you feel are in violation of the terms set forth. Use the "Report this Post to a Moderator" method or a moderator you see online. Either way is acceptable and appreciated.

In short, any unsuitable attitudes here lack in common sense will be violation of the rules. Any violations could end up banning you from this board and also from "the system"!!

For the reasons posted above, he was subject to immediate banishment and not just another strike. Daking's posts were threatening and dangerous to other forum members. Banning was the appropriate response.

I wasn't on over the weekend when this seems to have gone down. However, Daking has a definite history of being a jackass and running his "mouth" before he thinks about it. I read through his Borla blows thread and I saw plenty of punishable offenses to give him all 3 strikes and ban him a couple of times. His approach was all wrong and instead of admitting that and moving on, he acted very immaturely.

And that's just my .02 as a high and mighty mod. BTW, I'm moving this to feedback, where it belongs.

People like this are also annoying, notice how the guy who started this thread, stated it was his OPINION. You can have your opinion too, but there is no need for bashing

For the record...claiming that people are "flaming" you doesn't make it so. Almost from the very first post, Daking reacted to dissenting opinions as "flames." It wasn't until he escalated the situation that it became so.

I agree with Skooly, it doesn't seem appropriate to ban him based on the one thead, but I understand the moderators saying that it's a recurring trend.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Daking was less than a gentleman when he called BORLA and demanded cheap parts? I wouldn't be surprised if he just plain pissed them off.

Pete (is completely ignorant about all substantive portions of this post and should be taken with a pillar of salt)

The guy had a history here and in fact he once announced in very melodramatic fashion how he was done here and would no longer post. That didn't last long either. The guy had problems and it scares me that he's a cop. Don't they do psyche tests before you get on the force?? Maybe he's just a mall security guard in reality.

I read that post and to a minor extent I supported his inital post. Everyone really got all over him (as they did on at least one other thread I read) and I think his post had some validity to it as well as usefulness to the Z community (the initial post that is, not the part about sucking left nut ).

Having said that, his reaction was certainly extreme but was also provoked by lots of members on multiple threads (See the other thread on Borla) partly because people got defensive about Borla the company being bashed (lots of Borla exhaust owners on here). Kind of rediculous if you ask me.

His threats were way out of line no doubt. But I think the provocations were also out of line and certainly some strikes were due.

Like I said before the whole thing is kind of rediculous if you ask me.

No need for bashing, yet you call ME annoying? OK, whatever.

I don't see how I was bashing anyone. All I did was point out that I've seen multiple instances where JFritz would post his own complaints about who bashed and/or flamed who. First of all, it's entirely subjective, as others have pointed out here. Second, does he really think he's going to get anyone to stop? And third - if this kind of behavior is so aggravating, why in the world would you want to stay on this forum and endure it? There are other 350Z forums to visit. Use them if you don't like this one.

I think that your comments and those of others attacking his character and questioning his profession aren't fair at all. Yes, it seems as though the way he gets things across can be overboard or much different then others are used to but those are the same people that don't know him or have never met him in person. There's no need to take his personal life into this issue. The thread only got heated because others decided to jump on him and turn things into a personal level. If you've known him in person or have met him in meets you would know that he's really a nice person. He's been to plenty of meets and no, people arent' scared because he's there nor does he mouth off to people nor intimidate them. AS a matter of fact, he's when people have questions he's always willing to spend the timeand effort to help anyone out. I think anyone can vouch for that. Including all those that met him at yesterday's meet. And there was a great showing of Z's there to represent. If you want my opinion, he is one of the better cops out there who aren't ******** that like to abuse their power. The point is, if you want to argue about his questionable post, do so. But it isn't fair to question his personal life and character when you don't know the person.
