Ok why was my earlier, completely valid post deleted? I was nothing but truthful in it and made very valid, reasonable points. I discussed the speed, search being broken for so long, images not showing up, and broken banners that the sponsors pay good money for. This is very childish to delete when I was just trying to make a valid point.

I can't speak as to why dave's post was deleted, but you will see plenty of threads in the feedback forum pointing out the site's performance problems. There is no concerted effort to squash negative feedback.
Unfortunately, the only person whom is able to affect real changes in these matters (the site owner) has not made himself readily available to the staff here, and appears reluctant or unwilling to follow through on site repairs. Maybe there are valid reasons for the site's continued technical problems, but we never hear them.
The problems are, however, well known and I am sure Victor (site admin) is doing everything he can to communicate the problems to the owner and expedite improvements. Hopefully they will at some point be resolved and we can all enjoy our time here that much more.

Thanks tcbz for the honest answer. Im just aggravated that a legitimate post was erased as well as a link in my sig that was causing no harm in the least. Also the same basic thing happened to Toykilla. If you are going to erase something in one persons sig, do it to everyone else that has the same type thing.

Who is doing all of this crap? Step up and quit hiding behind your mod powers!
I don't know anything about this, but whatever one mod does, we all support. If you want to know why something happens to one post and not another, it's because the mods are not supernatural beings. We're only human. (Most of us, at least. I'm actually a small pink elephant.)

I just want to know why in a feedback forum, that something that was not in any way untruthful was erased. This is feedback right. Take the good and take the bad. I am not trolling and have never caused any uproar on this site. I just stated some valid problems that need to be addressed and it gets deleted along with other select peoples items in their sigs. Others have similar links that are not given any problem about.

Dave,
I think that the two issues are unrelated (sigs and your post). If they were deleted at the same time I'm sure it was inadvertent. We have no problems with negative feedback about the site...in fact, if you ask Victor, the mods are as vocal about the site speed and other problems as anyone...we ***** about it all the time in the moderator forum. After all, it is our job to peruse as much of the site as possible, and the speed, search and other issues really make it a pain.

II knew I'd tell you.
>> the thing is tbcz is that there is a lot of complaining and nothing gets done about it!! that alone is dam terrible
That's true about life in general. It sometimes helps if you send money.

Team mentality. You can't go calling out your teammates in public view. You have to show support, but if a mod disagrees with another mod on a choice, then they need to discuss it privately or in the special "mod only" forum.

>> Wow, thats one scary comment. So even if a Mod is wrong, they're still supported by the other Mods? Man thats corruption if I ever heard it.
If that's a scary comment, you really need to get a life even more than I do.
EDIT: Mods make mistakes, but what we all trust and support is that it seemed like the best action at the time. That's all.

Mods makes mistakes, understandable. So whats wrong with admitting the mistake made and move on, instead of having treads like this one? Granted if a post clear violate the rules, it is understandable that it closed/deleted. Maybe a simple PM from the mod that deleted dave079 post stating why it was deleted would've prevented this tread (as well as future treads). Simple, no?

>> I'm not the only one that thinks that comment is scary.
How could it possibly be scary? What can be said here that is important enough to scare you?
>> So whats wrong with admitting the mistake made and move on, instead of having treads like this one?
I'm not convinved it was a mistake, I don't think all the mods check out the feedback forum regularly, and threads like this one and admitting mistakes are certainly not mutually exclusive. Personally, I don't have much of a life, but I know some of the other mods do. They might have something better to do than argue.
I never should have gotton involved in the first place. I was just trying to help. I have nothing against anyone here, but for my own sake, I've got to stop trying to help.
