Default *MODERATORS* -- Proposed: Finances Section

I really think that this web site needs a specific section for Finance issues. There are so many posts these days regarding Lease, Purchase, and general 'Z financial' issues that this forum would get plenty of use.

Additionally, this particular area of Z ownership tends to bring the most flame, ridicule, etc, and I for one would love to see it given it's own 'priority section' of the board.

If you agree and would like to have a section devoted to Lease, Purchase, "Can I afford?", "What would you do?", "Should I?" type questions, post here. Let the Mods know what you think.....

Great idea. It would have made things much easier a couple of weeks ago when I had a ton of questions regarding finance issues with the Z.

Great idea!!
There are so many leasing and "can I afford a Z" threads that a single place for those would be nice.

I think it's a good idea. It'll also cut down (hopefully) the number of threads posted to this forum.

I agree 100%... Having owned my Z for a year now, it's quite a hassle to sort through all the "how much should I pay for my Z", "How much is insurance going to cost me", "Can I afford a Z" questions.

If I'm in the main Zcoupe/Zroadster forum, I want to read about info on the Zcoupe/Zroadsters... not info on what insurance and pricing is... I've already got that information, and have had it for a long time.

answers for questions like "Can I afford?", "What would you do?",or "Should I?" will be different for every person , so you still will get tons of the same questions posted...

I completely agree with you, but that really has nothing to do with where these questions should be posted. I personally think these types of very clearly finance related questions don't belong in the general "Coupe/Roadster" forum, especially given the volume of these types of posts. These tend to be very long threads with lots of responses from people who want to share their "financial experiences", and as such, I think this topic deserves to have it's own section, just like wheels and engine/drivetrain do. That's all I'm saying.

There used to be an insurance section, but nobody ever posted/replied there.

Like this idea. Definitely would get use out of it. Then again, I thought the same thing about the new member section and look what happened to it.

Thumbs up

Just a thought... Would this Finance Section be only for Z related questions, or any monetary questions members may have. It seems like in the past few months there has been many questions regarding car purchases, housing costs, mortgage rates and info, etc, etc, etc. Either way I think it is a good idea. There are alot of people out there that want to know how much a Z is really gonna cost them, this may at least be a way to centralize those responses.
