where is my avatar ?
well from the message earlier I'd say they were playing with the DB. Probably didn't update the avatars table to reflect approved or didn't put in the userid of each user. But thats just a guess.

I know another site that just got a new server the moment they realized they had bandwith problems. It was purchased just hours later. And it is also dedicated and not shared with a bunch of **** sites. For the money the sponsors pay for this site a new server is easily affordable. They are not that expensive. The band aid on this one is just going to get wet and fall off soon.

sounds like a good fix !
You'd think with the number of sponsors and the number of members, band-aids wouldn't be good enough. Clearly a new dedicated server would be priority number one. The growth here as been phenomenal and pinching pennies certainly is not the answer to keep this site healthy.
The sponsors and members aren't going to stand for the stuff that's going on here much longer. My time is important to me, and I don't want to waste it on a flaky site.
There is a wealth of knowledge in our member base, and it would be a shame to throw it all away because the site can't be kept workable and up-to-date.
Victor - you're treading on thin ice here. Also, with problems like we're having (and I do mean we). Wisecracks and threats are not the answer.
What can we do to help?
Just my thoughts.
