Injen exhuast came apart on dyno (sort of)
When I was dynoing my car on one of the runs a piece of metal came out the passenger side tip. Needless to say I was concerned! We picked it up and realized that it was part of the flex section of the exhaust, the inner retaining strap.
Didn't think much of it at the time but during the dyno I had to add some gain to the boost controller on the top end to hold the boost.
During the transmission swap I had a chance to look at the exhaust and saw that the inner flex section weave had collapsed inward and was blocking 60% of the pipe. So I remove the material and suprise, the boost is now steady all the way thru and pulls alot harder on the top end.
The other side looks fine though I don't trust it. Just though I'd throw this out there in case it happens to someone else on the highway and never see the strap pop out the back. I attached a pic of the strap.
