Default AEBS 4.3L Stoker kit with APS Twin Turbo kit

I was thinking this would be a killer combo.

Then I was thinking maybe not because the APS TT kit was specifically designed for 3.5L.

What would be the advantages or disadvantages to this setup besides the fact it would cost loads of money?

For anybody who has not seen the AEBS Stroker kit:

I did some searching around and the N/A version with 11.5:1 compression ratio is 450bhp.

there is no static answer to how much power you get out of changing around the geometry of the entire rotating assembly. there are way too many things to factor. if you listed every single mod to the entire engine, one could only speculate a range of potential HP the engine could have if properly done to 100% and tuned perfectly... but thats about as close as your gonna get.

One advantage would obviously be quicker spool and the capability of higher HP on pump gas but my main concern is the turbo's supplied in the ASP TT kit would be maxed out too quickly.

I'm here though not much time to post at the moment.

Looks like an awesome package though I wonder how happily the engine would rev at high rpm with that stroke, I think I rather go the bigger bore path and retain the stock 81mm stroke, that said it would certainly be nice to try that combination with the longer stroke, no doubt the low rpm torque would be greatly enhanced.

The stock APS/Garret ball bearing turbos specified in the base APS TT system would easily handle that engine size (4.3 litres) as APS planned for additional engine capacity in our initial engineering.

If required APS could also up spec to a larger turbine housing (.86 A/R) to enhance exhaust gas flow if the exhaust back pressure was too excessive in high engine rpm.

Again one of the obvious advantages of Twin Turbos as opposed to a single turbo only, the ability to greatly increase total exhaust gas flow for higher Horsepower engines is a reality via 2 larger turbine housings.

Thanks

Peter

phunk has it right- no one has any idea because there are WAY to many variables involved, not the least of which is tuning

what are you planning on doing with your car???? I would think the TT would be plenty for daily driving but if you plan to drag then thats a whole different story...... either way I think 3.5L is plenty instead of killing your money fot the stoker kit... put some good guts(internals) and add a TT set up to run high PSI + N2O = better in my opion and less money but then again I could be wrong since I dont have this car and have no experince with it....... either way like I said before 3.5L is plenty.

AEBS has my block at this time and is doing the stroker kit on it. APS was not able to work with me on this project do to conflicts, so I am not using the APS kit. I will be using a different kit but I should be getting close to the same results. You can be sure I will have dyno numbers and all the stats for you guys to look over. I will have both the numbers with pump gas and race gas and on different types of dynos. This is to get the average numbers not just the numbers one dyno gives. Also I will have the numbers with and without nitrous.

Yea it should be fun. I will keep ya'll updated on this build just as I did on all the bodywork I did on the car. This is the link to the bodywork posting that is on this site: The Start of my Widebody It is very long about 20 pages with about 23720 views with 396 post. I feel the more information I can give you guys the better off we all are. The performance shop doing all the work is also posting updates on their website. PM me and I will give you their websites URL.

mazzoo, you are crazy. Just be careful with all that extra power ;-)

Heheh.. kidding though, your car is like my Christmas wishlist. Having the fattest tires is one of them... it's sooo evil! 275 is the best I can play with without looking too silly with stock everything.

LOL. 275's are still a good size tire. When I started out building this car I had no idea the kind of responce I would get. The amount of people that love what I did and what I am doing has been amazing. I hope everyone can get something out of all the work we are doing. There is no way I could have gotten this car to where it is without the sponsors I have. They are the best around. Thanks for your support.
