Greddy TT engine starting problem
Hey guys just wanted to see if any of you Greddy TT guys have trouble starting up your car sometimes after you have driven it for awhile. Sometimes I try to start my car and it wont start, it takes a couple of times for me to turn the ignition on before it starts. I was wondering if it could be the bigger injectors or if something is not right. I need to know if any of you guys have this issue or is it just me. Thanks in advance.

I've run 850's in my cars before with no starting issues.
There are various issues that could cause this. I doubt it's a Emanage or ECU problem, of course nothing is impossible but very unlikely.
Check to see it you can smell any fuel after the car has been running. You might have a pinched upper o-ring in the fuel rail allowing a small amount of air into the system causing a prolonged cranking cycle.
I would pull the fuel rail and check the o-rings then reseat them very carefully. It's not hard at all to do.
Also pull the plugs while your there (with the intake manifold off) and clean them. With how rich we run these things the combustion chamber builds up carbon fast.
Quick question, once it starts does it run smooth or does it stumble any? It should not run rough at all.
HTH,
Gary
my rpm bounces from 600-700. It is smooth until I drive it hard or for a prolong period of time it starts to get rough and you can feel it shake when the rpm rises. I am running real rich on my setup as well. I havent got it tuned to lean it out. So far it is still sitting at 9.8 on my AF. I bought the NGK iridium one-step colder plugs which I havent installed yet. Hopefully it might make a difference with the plugs in.
when my ignition timing harness was installed, my tuner added a little fuel at idle-that smoothed it out very much...the difficulty starting issue, i have had as well, it may turn over for 2 seconds tops and then start, any longer than that is NOT normal
After my install, it was noticeably harder to start the engine. To alleviate it a bit (doesn't always work), I'd keep my key in the on position to trigger the fuel pump (not good if you have the ignition harness hooked up), wait 3 seconds, then turn her over. Seems to work well . . .
Since its a lot colder than it was in June, I have yet to have a hard start situation. Could the weather have influenced this?

Tim..you might check for an air leak in the system.
"An air leak in the presence of a mass flow sensor will rob the sensor of some of its signal, creating a lean condition on start-up"
Maximum Boost by Corky Bell
Look downstream from the throttle for disconnected hoses, big cracks in the hoses, tubes dislodged, etc.

if none of the above options work, have you cam sensor checked. there is a recall on the early VIN cars that relate to a malfunctioning Cam sensor that will cause hard/long start conditions.

My friend was having the same problem in his rsx. He had trouble starting it up and when boosting in higher rpm's it would start bogging down, it seem like your having the same problem, if thats the case get it tuned your too rich.

Im not really sure but couldnt this be the problem, 9.8 A/F is extremely rich, does your car bog down when boosting?

Maybe after I change my spark plugs to one-step colder, it might help a little. How hard is it to change plugs? I have it already and just waiting for my friend to install it for me.
get it tuned at a proffesional tuning shop. And get it checked out by a reputable mechaninc, someone with a good reputation and following. Word of mouth has to be good.
There's a lot of mechanics that could leave you worse off than before.
