Am I part of Blown Engine Club?
On my way home coming from my parents house, I was on the freeway going around 70 mph. I downshifted to third cause someone wanted to try me. Once I got to WOT, I heard a clunk clunk. I was like oh Sh*t!!! My car didnt accelerate, so I pulled over thinking to myself, did I blow a rod? Once I got to the emergency lane, I shutoff the car and waited a couple of seconds. I started it back up and it was running fine. So I decided to drive slowly on the emergency lane to see if the car would move. It did so I shut the car off once more and started back up. From this point, I slowly proceded to merge back into the slow lane and drive back home cautiously. The car from this point on sounded perfectly fine and the temp was perfectly fine as well. I got home safely in one piece.
Now my question is, did I break something in the engine? All I can think of right now is that my engine is running and sounding fine. I am thinking my stock clutch couldnt handle it and stalled. Now can this happen cause I know I already burnt my clutch awhile back. I had burnt clutch smell for days! Let me know what you guys think, in the mean time im going to have my tuner shop check it out. And maybe get some forged internals

I dont think u have a blown engine or a bent rod. If that was the case ur car wouldnt be running or u would behearing some loud clunk noises in the engine when driving. I know this cause my car made loud clunk noises when i bent a rod. It sounds like something hitting the wall of the cylinders. BUt if ur car is running normal then its not that. It may be something else but i really dont know. Are u running the stock boost level? If not i strongly recommend u leave it at the stock level until u address the internals.
You maxed out your MAF sensor and your car went into limp mode. It is enough to scare the $h@# out of you, but it is no big deal.
Basically your MAF sensor saw 5.0 volts or in terms of %, 100% and it shut the car down. This happened to me when I first got the TT. There have been threads about this.
Look in the archives for a thread by SKiDaZZLe titled "Bad news for big boosters". And don't worry, I actually maxed the MAF out 10 or 11 times before we fixed the problem. The car has been running strong for the last year.

scary isn't it? try blowing an intercooler hose off...... that is always fun.
if you made it back without blowing smoke or anything else, you should be fine. definately sounds like a "limp mode" thing.
i have hit that once on the Autronic SMC before. that sucks. but the limp mode is handy when you break something. saved my azz once or twice.

LOL...
I owned an 1993 MR2 Turbo and after I completed EXTENSIVE modifications, I took it out for a spin and when I got to full boost..... BOOM!!!!!! OH sh*t !!!
Intercooler hose popped off! LOL.

Yeah thats what I think I did or either that my BOV is set too soft and my car bogged down. Either one could be the issue, what do you guys think. The "limp mode" is what I think happened though cause when I had the Greddy Type-S BOV, I set it soft and when I went to WOT it bogged my car down and I had to shut it off and restart it. But this time it just stopped accelerating until I shut the engine off. Usually when my BOV is too soft and the car bog down, all the lights come on like when you leave the ignition on ACC.
You have the Greddy kit running an eManage...right? If so, they your car cant go into limp mode since the eManage clamps the MAF volatage at 5.0V.
I once had a similar situation happen to me. I got a weird TPS CEL error code. Shut the car down, restarted..and it was fine.
Scared the crap out of me...but no damage done.
PM me if you need the forged stuff.
