Default Stillen S/C

I need to know what you guys think of the stillen S/C. i heard it is the most reliable on the market and produces boost as soon as u hit the gas. now i know it doesnt put down as much rwhp but it produces it quicker. whats your guys opinion?

Not sure about other FIs, but this one seems to work better in colder weather. At 75F and above, I feel at least 10-15whp power loss. In other words, I can lose traction (stock 235s) in 2nd in cold weather, but nowhere near that in 75F+.

Also, keeps wearing out my belts. They're slipping -- again!!

My traction sucks now that its cold too. Have to be careful with my clutch release to keep it straight.

I'm very happy with mine. And, I've never heard of a stillen blowing an engine up. Yes, you can't get big hp numbers, but what you do get is still great.

This could be due to the fact its cold. If your tires are cold they do not produce as much traction as when they are hot. I have noticed that as well, now entering winter season. (Yes we have winter too in Florida LOL). But anyway thats why they have the burn out box at the drag strip...

One more thing Belt Slipping also happens more when its cold...

Anybody have the Carbon Fiber hood. Thats the one that I ordered. If it looks good, I am going with the C-West Carbon Fiber body kit.

The stillen SC starts to boost very early in the RPM range. The kit is designed for power in the lower to mid-range power band, rathern than top end like the vortech. If i were to go with FI i'd run either stillen or HKS if I were not going to build the motor up. The stillen has been a proven performer, and proven reliability. And of course the optional warranty really helps out with the kit as well and IMO that's really worth the money.
