Based on my conversation with David the other day, the issue shows up infrequently and with no predictability., somehwere in the range of 1 in 10 runs. The only common denometers was the amount of horsepower being over 360rwhp with correspondingly high cylinder pressures and approximately 5500 rpm. At which point the CAS would show wild swings in timing of +/- 30 degrees.

Not yet launda though I make sure this is completed within the next few weeks, I just back to work and it's been very busy to date, I need to find some spare time to organise this tech feature.

Thanks

My account was disabled for some time (approx 4 weeks) so I've only just caught up with this thread, I will publish a tech feature on this issue in the near future to clarify APS's thoughts/opinion on the issue.

Thanks

Peter,

Thanks for the update. I would hope that we can get some of this knowledge-sharing to happen soon enough with Charles/phunk so we can make the most out of our group by.

Would be a great PR gesture by the folks at APS - at least in my mind.

Thanks again - Chris

I heard "through the grapevine" that the APS loom also provides the CAS its own power supply (not sure where it taps) since the coil saturation robs power from the rest of the vehicle (in addition to EMFs). Anyone else hear this?

You heard correctly. Back when I first tested it I immediately noticed that they changed the ECU pin on that wire. This is just a matter of installation of the wire.

Yes like I stated in the last post, its just a matter of how its wired on the "ecu side" of the cable. You can wire it to whatever pins you like, but for reference I will included paperwork to show how its wired stock and how you should change it.

YES! We have enough paid members. Charles has ordered the supplies. If any last minute folks want the wire, just send money via PayPal. Since we have enough buyers, there is no harm in extended for a week, since the supplies are already ordered.
