I have talked to a couple people about this and was wondering if anyone esle had any advise on this or knows anyone who has this done already. I am just building up my bottom end by buying SGP's Ultimate Bottom End package they sell. I am doing the heads later on in life after I recoupe from all this money spending. I am going to be going with Vortech or Procharger. I have a auto tranny and was wondering if anyone knows if I just need to upgrade the torque converter and valvebody and be fine, or rebuild the whole thing? I will be putting a tranny cooler on it also. I know of acouple of places that just do these two problems and run there trannys up to some high hp/tq without any problems. THanks

 

You might want to talk to SGP about it considering they offer a Tranny package. I would say you would have to do some work to it, so go all the way and fix it right. Just my .02

 

johanna...If you have a auto and are going with a SC . I think you will not need to do any thing but the Trq converter and Valve Body . The SC...Vortech and ATI....the kits avaliable any way....will not get you to 500whp . You would have to go with a TT set up to get that much IMO....Bill

 

Altered Atmosphere said they can get me there with the supercharger. They said it is possible with more boost and the built shortblock. All I have to do is send off the supercharger to vortech to rebuild it, and get a different pulley to get more boost. I have seen people get really close to 500hp it. It is possible to get it even further is what vortech told me. If you go on there site it even says the supercharger that comes with are kit can handle up to 20psi. I knew about SGP's tranny already, its just I heard that it only comes with the torque converter and better gaskets and clutches. They don't mess with the valve body and that is what makes it shirt better.
