stillen SC-dealer install?
Ive read in a few places on this forum that nissan dealers are installing stillen superchargers. Does this mean that you can completley retain your factory warranty with a stage 1 or 2 unit?
Also, What kind of 1/4 mile and *more* importantly, what kind of trap speeds?
I currenlty have an 02 m3 but i'm looking to sell it before the new 3 series hits so i dont lose my underwear when i try to sell it. Do you think a stillen SC could run with an e46 m3?
Thanks guys

you wont retain your factory warranty, but with a stage 2, stillen will sell you a warranty that will cover the gaps. I did a 12.8 with my stage 3. (stillen won't sell you a stage 3 pulley without voiding your warranty though, you would have to get someone to buy it for you)

Also, would anyone with a stillen describe how much faster the car feels with the SC as opposed to stock. (low end, mid range, up top...etc). And the sound of the car?
thanks

trap was 105
it feels just like stock, same pull everywhere, its just a lot quicker going through the revs.
I dyno'd 320, but that was with test pipes which caused me to run lean. Had I redyno'd after reinstalling stock cats, would have been around 340, thats what it puts out in stage 3.
Its quiet most of the time, just a nice whine under acceleration. Not nearly as loud as the other supercharger setups. It also has a vacuum operated bypass that allows the car to keep its fuel economy when you aren't getting on it. I still got 27mpg on the highway with it.
Other people have had belt alignment issues, but I haven't

Go Greddy twin turbo...I know some one who runs 405 rwhp unlike Stillens measly 320 rwhp. Stillen ran there SC at their past show and that's what they got. The excuse they used was it was rather warm that day for the show. It was like 80 outside so it was not that hot that day....

If i buy a supercharger, I dont want it to feel stock. if thats the case with the stillen, I dont know how badly I want one anymore. Also, with 320 hp to the wheels, the car should be faster than an e46 m3 but I have a feeling it isnt. Regarding the turbo systems, they are the most appealing but also seem to be the most unreliable. I'm looking forward to the single kits coming out from turbonetics and Aps.
thanks guys

when looking to buy a kit, don't go by the numbers on paper alone. Some kits out there will claim high peak HP figures, but some of them have a huge spike that drivebilty becomes an issue, or that the kit doesn't make much power anywhere else in the power band. You have to look at everything and consider what the car will be used for. THere's no point in building the car with a kit up, if your plan is top speed etc.. and the kit only make low end power for example
Everyone on here has their own opinions on what works, and what they like, you'll have to just try it out once you narrow down your selection to what you are planning.....
