Question Installing Zeitronix Zt-2 Air/Fuel Ratio Meter

Ok I installed my Zeitronix Zt-2 Air/Fuel Ratio Meter and it is not working. I do not get any display at all from the display (no color - almost like no power) to the gauge.

I wanted to confirm with people who have installed it that I have hooked all the wires correctly. Please review the attached image. I wired it into my Autosports Wiring Harness.

A couple of notes. I removed the display form the case in the process of making a custom mount in my dash, however in the finished product it is installed back in the case with only one of the end caps removed. I was extremely careful with the display while working on it.

I am currently going to borrow a friend's display and control box for the Zeitronix Zt-2 Air/Fuel Ratio Meter and try replacing each one this weekend to see if one is defective. In the mean time I would like to confirm that the wires for the control are installed correctly.

Please let me know if you see any discrepancies.

Thanks for any help!!

I'm not sure about your problem, but would like to see it resolved before I put my money on mine through the groupbuy. BTW, I am liking your custom enclosure for it.

Can't speak to the "Auto Sport Wiring Harness Circuits", but I have had mine up and running for about 6 months.

From the Zt-2 Harness I did the following:

Pin #1 RED Switched Power "Solder to a switch power point at fuse box on driver side".

Pin #3 Green RPM Input "I soldered to wire leading to pin#13, Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS). Was challenge in GB Thread and sent to a link. The link shows terminal #62 RPM Signal - Ignition Coil Cyl #1 (RPM)". Mine is working fine on pin #13. Will try data logging later in week. 350Z Service Manual shows Crankshaft Position Sensor providing RPM signal.

Pin #7 Black Power Ground "I attached to a ground point under the dash on the passenger side".

Pin #10 Grey Throttle Position Sensor "I solder to wire leading to pin #50 of ECU harness".

All other wires of the Zt-2 went to the appropriate sensor sent with Zeitronix unit or were wire tied under dash.

PS: The unit is GREAT! zbigniew at Zeitronix resolved my issue extremely well! Replaced Zt-2 and ALL IS WELL!

Thanks for the reply!

Looks like other than the PIN 62 we are the same. Power and ground I have selected should work however if it doesn't when I try my buddies control and display I will hook it up the way you have it.

Anybody else have any input?

Thanks it took some fiddling. Notice the hole in the side of the dash...I use a small metal rod to reset the unit.

We did have another issue with the zietronix, but I think Z1 worked it out for Lemans350z (I installed his s/c and did some work with the ziex, but abandoned it to have a professional do it)

The problem was the instructions said to hook up the main unit to the three colored wires on the boost sensors, but the colors weren't what were advertised, and there was a 4th unshielded wire on the boost sensor.

We cut a faceplate out of sheet aluminum, powdercoated it with clear, then siliconed the ziex unit to the back of it and used an mdf block behind it to hold it in place.
