EVC5 or SBCID3 are FAR and away the best performing, easiest to use/setup of any that I have ever played with (I have used everyone on the market I can think of).
The Power Enterprise one also works remarkably well

Exactly....with the APS kit, you can skip the boost controller, since the Unichip device controls boost as well. I would be highly unadvisable to increase the boost via boost controller, without tuning for the higher boost level.

Did we get a confirmation on the date/timeframe?
Thanks!

Well.... the unichip tuning is MAP-based (i am fairly certain). So, i think that you can install your own controller, and when the boost rises, an appropriate part of the map is referenced, as it is all part of the same 3d map.. IMO, the only time when it is worth going that route is if you want to change to a stepper motor-based boost controller rather than a solenoid-based one, as the APS kit already ships with the solenoid one. The stepper motor is VERY VERY precise (ala HKS EVC - the only one in existence as far as I know). I have used nothing but the HKS, so I can't really compare, however.
