Default Avg. WHP on stock boost

Hello!

I just wondering how different the RWHP are from the F/I systems out there with stock boost (Greddy, APS, PE , Procharger, Vortex, Stillen)... I may dyno this week on stock boost and I will like to know if my baseline HP compare to the other ones... I know I can't compare it directly even if is the same Greddy TT but just to know what to expect.

Thanks!

Depends on whether you have exhuast and test pipes as well..in addition to how good is the tune out of the box. If you use a dynojet, your numbers will be very different from using a load based dyno such as dyno dynamics, dynopack, or mustand dyno.

On a dynojet, I would expect somewhere between 330whp and 360whp at stockish boost levels....and a crappy (rich) tune. These kits, honestly are so close in terms of raw power out of the box...that you would be hard pressed to prove that one kit actually makes more legitimate power at the same boosts level, when compared to another.

Let us know what you dyno.

Curious as to the power gains from just getting a good tune over the crappy rich tune. Including tuning the timing, so you can lean out the fuel a little bit safely, and getting a new fuel pump so it doesn't lean out at redline.

The Turbonetics kit is making 390 RWHP Link to dyno sheet: http://members.***.net/w.suarez/350dyno11-15-04.pdf

Thanks for the replys... I have a TS Reflash for tunning, also have exhaust, test pipes, JWT Cams, and Crawford Plenum... I'm gonna Dyno (Dynojet) @ 5 psi (thas what my mechanic boost gauge say) and see if I'm in range... any other with similar mods with dyno expirience?
The Turbonetics come with 7.5 psi out of the box and eliminates the cats, that why is higher than other ones

But thats at 9psi and a load based dyno. From my experience....the dynojets are reading lower.

Without getting in a debate about dynojet vs. load based dyno. The only car to car comparison that is even remotely valid...is two cars being compared on a dynojet. And even then....there will be some differences.

My Greddy kit made 416WHP on 8.5psi on a dynojet.

The TS reflash will not compensate for the Greddy emanage if it is rich like mine was, I had 325 on a dynojet and rich as a pig, I have not dynoed at stock boost again, but some seem to get into the 350 range.

I may have mine dynoed in the next few days just for ***** and giggles . . . the only thing I have installed besides the Greddy TT is the RSR exhaust. I'm anticipating around 330-340ish.

The TS replace the e- manage, you don't need it any more... maybe you don't have tuning problems, maybe is another thing... but maybe if you switch to TS the problem will disappear

Sorry, I can't post the pic. I keep getting a message that the site is having technical problems.

The post TT installation showed 404 whp.

Please try to post the dynojet graph later on I would love to see this power graph, I've always believed that dynojet dynos read a little higher than true load based dynos.

Thanks

Peter

Someone on here tested an APS kit on a dynopack dyno and a dynojet dyno and the PEAK results where almost the same and if I recall the details correctly the dynojet read a little lower.

I cannot find the thread by search... anyone?

My tunning is fine now, I got 383 at 7.5 pounds, maybe a little rich still and could get a little more out of it.

But I am running off of boost rather than MAF and using a J&S safeguard which also retards timing based on boost, the ECU cannot read boost so I am not comfortable going with a reflash alone, specially with the luck some have had on NA's with the reflash making them leaner than expected, just too much to gamble on them.

Agreed my first order of business once all the install on my car is complete is to get you guys a Dynojet dyno chart.

Yeah the J&S is a good option for safety an tunning... my Pyrometer marks 1,100 all the way up to 5th gear... I now is not lean but I'm gonna put a A/F meter to make sure.

Other thing... Any one knows how to turn off the Check Engine Ligth for the "Random Misfire" when you have the Greddy TT? Someone post that is normal for Z's with Greddy TT...

Any info will help!
