I've heard arguments both ways...
"Dynojet gives lower numbers than load-based dynos"
"Dynojet gives higher numbers than load-based dynos"
Anyone have some definitive info? Maybe some back-to-back or same day dynos by the same vehicle?
Personally, I've always felt comparing peak HP via different dynos is stupid anyway since there are so many other factors to consider.... dyno calibration, dyno type, prevailing weather conditions, SAE correction algorithms, etc.
There are only three valid uses, IMO, for dynos...
1. Tuning
2. Measuring net power gains before and after a mod using the same dyno
3. Comparing the power of different cars using the same dyno.
Do anything else and there will always be debate....
